As Matt explained how his doctor digs rEally deep into his belly button, my mom was trying to show my family her new bluetooth speakers. It connected to the speaker as soon as matt says "like when you ash your cigarettes on my penis" and there was just silence after that (because it connected downstairs). I sat there for about a minute after laughing because I thought it was like a silent bit for like a really long time, but I turned my volume up full blast and I could hear my family listening to matt talk about his bellybutton doctor. DOCTOR NOTE: My pediatrician did that finger bellybutton thing to me when I was 11. It felt absolutely shitty to do but he prompted it with "So, I have to stick a finger in your belly button to feel for any lumps, masses, etc." And he pressed down hard enough it almost felt like I had to pee. I had no idea that wasn't some routine thing until I got older and noticed doctors don't do it anymore. It is likely something older doctors were taught that isn't in practice anymore because if there is a mass getting one inch into your abdomen isn't really going to change your mind versus palpating the abdominal regions by quadrant. I'm an EMT now and we do abdominal palpations and trust me. Never was I taught to and never in my life would I ever feel the need to do something like that. Maybe he suspected you of abdominal aortic aneurysm? Which even then you would likely still feel it by touching the abdomen alone or auscultating. 'AAA' is a palpable pulsing mass where one of your major arteries to your legs can balloon up and leak/burst. I know I've had patients with AAA and even STILL I don't feel the need to do that. Man learned something today LOL

It's a shame you don't like The Good Place but it's also fine to not get something that others enjoy. You don't have to justify why you think women aren't funny.
