in terms of pure nutrition value yes, bugs are equivalent to any other protein source. but when you look at it from an agricultural perspective, bugs show many advantages to mammals : they take far less space, have a near 100% feed-to-meat efficiency, have far less fat, multiply quickly, and leave no greenhouse gas. while consuming insects isn't part of western culture and it would be difficult to implement such a system, it would be one of the most long-term efficient solutions to provide an overpopulated planet with proteinic food.

My cat used to run up and down the hallways and literally climb the walls at night, but I started playing with her every day before I go to bed so she'll be out of energy and not make as much noise. Just get a laser pointer and have banana chase that for half an hour & he'll give you some peace!
