My brother passed away last year in a traffic accident. The emergency services posted about it on Twitter a few hours after it happened, and there were people meming below it just minutes after. I felt terrible. And also powerless, cause I knew very well there was nothing I could say that would convince a rando on Twitter, even if they did believe me to start with. Imagine if random people in a hospital were joking about a gnarly traffic accident, disregarding the relatives could be around there. I just prayed my parents wouldn't see it.

I watched Twomad since Nerf Lucio during my overwatch phase when I was a teenager. His personality and humour had genuinely rubbed off on me and it upsets me to see his downfall, especially since I was never aware of his drug problems or anything. Jameskii's real name is actually Igor Priemsky. Twomad mentioned this when he first spoke of Jameskii lying about being Danish. Igor really hates it when people point out his Russian origins and any mention of this on Twitter results in an automatic block on his part. He views it as a personal attack on him as he really wants to bury the fact that he used to be Kiisliy for some reason. There are archives of his old KZbin channel and various deleted videos that prove this. To this day, there remains one video still up on his former friend NFKRZ's channel entitled, "RUSSIAN RAGE - CS:GO" where Igor relentlessly mocks Russian players on the opposite team and is called out by name by NFKRZ in native Russian.

32:36 Not long ago one of my beloved teachers sadly passed away, and this part of the pod I think is very important because remembering is the most we can do and cherishing our favorite moments with that person is the best thing to do because it puts a smile on our face and helps us be appreciative of having had the pleasure of knowing that person. Maybe Twomad wasn't that much of a good guy, but he deserves to be remembered because he did content that made a lot of people happy. To have gone after him not even 24 hour after his death was beyond disrespectful and honestly cruel. I guess I just hope people will stop trying to put him in a bad light, and let him rest in peace.

I never watched TwoMad and was only vaguely aware of who he was. Its very refreshing to hear a fair discussion about who he was and his situation. The commentary community has a bad reputation for being based in drama, but this is why I've always been a fan of the genre. And Colossal in particular. Nerd City has recently become a favorite as well. Edit: this cat epidemic is hilarious. I despise the idea of banning fans tho. A temporary mute is good enough for the vast majority of all situations.

What happened to twomad is actually really sad. A young guy who got famouse too quickly, became addicted and had nobody to help him go through it. He was mentally a child, a lonely child at that. What he did was bad and I am sorry for what the victims had to go through, but twomad wasn't a cartoon villain whose death needs to be celebrated during the end credits. He was a mentally ill person. and he died playing overwatch (literally the most brutal way to go - all sins automatically forgiven)

The problem with trying to manage a huge discord is that you're individually policing like 500 people. It doesn't feel like that, because it's through a screen, but imagine trying to do that in real life. Beyond a certain point, it becomes totally reliant on social contract, so either this huge crowd of people is on the same page as you and mostly willing to play by your rules or it's going to be chaos.

I just now got onto the pod cast and have been listening to them randomly, when I play rogue likes, sleep, clean etc. But I have quick every drug except caffeine (1cup of coffee a day), and menthol cigs particularly. I hate the pouches hater regular smokes and hate vapes. But a cig with a coffee is just such a good way to start my day. I was on heavy painkillers for 5 years after blowing my knee up and it sucked because the wds are severe. But cigarettes give you odd wds. Like your more tempered, the tiredness, the mental obstacles. It is a crazy thing to have to deal with at first, it's not as vicious as harder thing but takes longer and mind fuks ya more. I really want to stop but the availability and craving get me every time.

Its hard to look back on Twomads old stuff after everything that has happened. You could say there was some intrinsic entertainment to some of his older videos even when alot of it was at the expense of other people. But by the end alot of what he did and brought upon himself was negativity, disgusting behavior and he saw everything as one huge Bit where he couldn't turn it off. He rejected the help that could have saved him in the long term to the point where even the people around him and in his Discord saw his mental downfall as entertainment in itself. I dont believe people should have celebrated his death, but I can understand if they felt no sympathy towards it. All my sympathy is towards the parents, nobody should loose their child that young.
