Jo managed him so well because Dads defensiveness and aggression came from a wounded child’s response to negative experiences. She just had to parent him and encourage him and he figured it out like children do.
@milksips38764 жыл бұрын
So true and he really did try, being a man with all the negatively put on men about how they should be and not showing weakness and he went and pulled it together and said sorry when he’d crossed the line. I had a lot of time for him.

Aww, Jo doesn’t give up. I’m glad for this guy that the answer all along was that he had to confront himself, that is really life changing. If more people could just get honest with themselves and be introspective, humanity as a whole could be so much better off. He just needed a shove into the uncomfortable, but in the end he embraced the process. His wife and his kids now have a man that can be fair and confident in his parenting and as a husband. I love what Jo does for families, helps to make them stronger and more successful! ❤️

Nothing to laugh about. Same could be said about you seeing half glass empty, not half glass full. So, please, try to be understanding, as we all are damaged to some degree, but he is willing to change that behaviour.

Dad did well apologising when he felt scared of being criticised, that was tough but after she dealt so calmly and he realised it was just a question he really tried and saying sorry, I thought well done mate, it’s not his natural thing and he was bloody trying. And dad saying “I love you” in the real old school dude way but he meant it. Heart pounding 💓

It seems like Jo had some kind of language training over the years, she's very empathetic and obviously at the top of her game and almost always correct, but in earlier series it seems like she had problems organising her thoughts from a linguistic standpoint.

He acts just like my ex. Who was a huge narcissist and would get sooo defensive and was a loose cannon. Hence the word "EX" I wish Jo could have talked to him. He had a really rough childhood and that can definitely carry on into adulthood if not tended to..but playing the victim gets old. There is a time when you need to look within and work on yourself to be a better person or parent. I'm constantly working on that myself ❤

@ashleydavall3 жыл бұрын
He seemed like a relatively different type of Dad than the ones Jo often comes across. Highly defensive, but that seems very much born out of the fact he is the junior in the marriage & parental relationship with his wife & kids. The moment Supernanny starts to point out some home truths he immediately starts looking for reassurance & backup from his wife & can't deal with a second 'Alpha' personality (Jo, in this case) making clear, strong and poignant arguments.
