@@evelynmariesaiter4636 she does know that ultimately what matters is communication, working together for a common goal and trying to be balanced but strict instead of wishy washy but beating the kids up when they don't listen and she teaches and preaches that (sometimes even just telling the parents from an outside perspective is enough to make them think about what they're doing). " It's not your job to learn how to trust him," spoken to a once cheating husband. " It's your job,' pointing to her husband, ' to build trust, once again, so she can trust you." No more beautiful words were ever even spoken to help heal a broken heart, mine. If he can't be trusted, then he didn't build trust, but a wall. He must build trust for her to believe in him once again. It's fractured. He broke her trust, and if it's even possible to rebuild trust in her he has to do it, and not her. It's his responsibility alone, and he alone must be held fully accountable for his choice to cheat her out of her trust in him, by his cheating outside their marriage and while still being married to her. To build may take considerable work on his part and time on her part. " Rome wasn't built in a day, " is a slogan of old.

This is a prime example of why you don't have children to fill a void. As someone with a parent EXACTLY like that, it doesn't work. Your kids will suffer and have to pick up the pieces later on in life. And, if they leave you, who do you have left? Speaking from experience. Jo is 100% correct.

I must admit it's tough for Moms. You feel like you're being pulled in all different directions. Then if things don't go right instead of discussing; guys usually just shut down. They expect women to be Superwomen these days. You have to still cook, do the housework, the guy still fees like all he has to do is go to work, then you have the kids and all their activities. And you are expected to also "work". The women are carrying most of the load. THen the guy is like, "why aren't you happy?"
@CeltycSparrow

Mom says she wants time alone with her husband to be intimate as a couple....but yet, at the same time, she seems unwilling to give up this "addiction" for lack of a better word, that she has created in treating her children like babies. If she wants affection and attention from her husband, she has to be willing to give a bit as well. Its probably hard for her husband to do these things when she has a child in her lap all the time. They are WELL beyond the age where they should be co-sleeping with her. They are old enough now that they can be sleeping alone, in their OWN beds at night and allowing their parents to have their space. Just because she is letting go of THAT part of her bond with her child, doesn't mean he won't love his Mommy any less. It doesn't make her a bad Mom. She can still cuddle and play with her children and show them affection.....it just needs to be in a HEALTHY way....and in a way that DOESN'T interfere with her marriage.

You are absolutely right. Sometimes women detach from the marriage and become mothers 24/7 because they are wired to think that children will love them unconditionally. Most people know this not to be true, but for women that think like this, it becomes a coping mechanism and this end up breaking up the marriage. You have to learn to juggle motherhood and being a wife. If you on one more than the other, things will not work out in one of those ends

Dear Lord above!!!! Man, I tell you that there is no way.....NO WAY that I would forgive my husband for cheating! We’ve discussed the topic of cheating several times where I tell him that if ever he feels like cheating or pulling away from me, then be upfront and come to me! I agreed to do the same. We tell the other if we are unhappy for any reason! He knows that if he ever decides to cheat then don’t come back home. There will be no 2nd chances and I mean that with every fiber of my being! That’s the worst thing you could do to me.

This is so sad. He wasn't loving her and then cheated because he wanted more...? You have to put in 50% in a relationship before you expect a return. Poor mother.

The mom is creepy! She’s making her children codependent on her. And she’s fine with it. That’s sick and scary.
