Jensen Ross Ackles acting his ass off in this episode. Oh my gosh, the mirror scene crushes me. I love all the stuff with Rowena. The bull riding? Have mercy. Seeing the glimpses of who Dean would be without all the trauma? He's precious. And yes, definite Yellow Fever vibes!!

This episode is so many things. It scares me but it all comes together in the end. Jensen’s acting skills are on full display. Excellent. Yes this was a play on the Regarding Henry title for a reason. Definitely on the favorite list. Yes I’ve dealt with Alzheimer’s in my family, so this hit hard.

Perfect episode honestly only compliant is that Cas wasn't in it. Seriously it would've been not only so heartfelt to watch him struggling with Dean losing himself, but also funny as hell to hear their dialogue with Cas regular humor mixed in with Amnesiac Dean (would've been the first time Castiel was the normal and sane one of the two.)But hey at least we got Dean gushing how cool it was that his "best friend" was an angel

One of my fav eps ever! Fun fact, There was no mirror. Jensen had to pretend to look into a mirror but he was literally just talking directly into the camera.

Yellow Fever vibes happen whenever Dean is cursed in a comedic way, which of the brothers tends to happen more to him than Sam. Both have had it happen together, but solo comedic cursing happens to Dean more, and they're always a blast! For instance, when he got aged up to an old man, then de-aged to a teenager, that time he could talk to dogs and started mimicking their behaviors, and the time he ate a spiked Leviathan drugged sandwich and got high and depressed. The only times (at this point in the show) that something like this has happened to Sam, to the best of my knowledge, was in season 3 when he got bad luck from a rabbit's foot, and in season 5 when he swapped bodies with a random teen (I'm not counting when Becky love drugged him into marriage cause it wasn't that funny)

this episode is on the level of mystery spot for me. so hilarious and also so tragic and both times Sam's stuck watching this happen. Jensen and Jared are as usual perfect in this and oh man Dean in the mirror kills me every single time. But i love that the show is pretty consistent in who dean is when you take the weight away from him(and my god is he a joy) and of course if you notice even after he forgets himself he still remembers Sam on the phone. I love this episode so much and enjoyed watching your reaction to it as well. it really was a treat for all Dean girls.

So Jensen performance aside another highlight of this episode is it's the first to feature the start of the Sam & Rowena friendship, which I feel the writer made because they realized Sam needed his own friends. Now that's not an insult against Sam, more the writers and this isn't a comparison of which brother has the better relationship between their established friends. But if you look at the reoccurring character who are friends to the brother and cut out the love interests, you'll see that there are a few with more of a friendship to Dean than Sam. Like Garth, Benny, Crowley, Frank, Krissy, Victor Hendrikson and Castiel. Okay yes that last one shouldn't count but you get the idea. With Sam he had Andy from season 2 and Gabriel from season 5. And yeah, it's alright for the brothers to have their own friends but Sam needed one of his own and his and Rowena have a great dynamic
