Alex I wish you had listened to the lyrics of the song at the end it made that episode that much sadder. The song was about like hold on to your imagination and childishness because soon you will grow up and all that innocence will be gone. In the episode when Dean lost his memory that innocence came back because he didn't have the weight of the world on his shoulders.

The second half of the season was EPIC so far. Lily Sunder, this one, etc. This one was perfect. Funny, touching, and some character growth for Rowena with her talking about the search for power being hollow, after meeting God and Amara and realizing...if THEY weren't happy with all their power, then power isn't the key to happiness.

The scene of Sam giving the talk to Dean is a mirror of the scenne in Yellow Fever where Dean was complaining about the hunters'way of life, check the scennes and comapare, they are simmetical. In YF Dean is totally scared and upset, in RD he is totally enthusisatic about being heros and Sam isn't that happy...

Knowing that Rowena is strong enough to put spells on the King of Hell and a powerful Angel simultaneously, has danced with the Devil himself on numerous occasions and come out on top, has had access to extremely powerful spellbooks and stuff, it's a little annoying to see her bested by another witch so easily.

Totally agree. It's sad that a lot of characters (in other shows too) are introduced as really powerful and badass but then they get beat by nobodies. I especially noticed that with Cass. Man, he was Some badass in the first episode, like Dean kept shooting at Cass an he just walked right through as if it were nothing. He was the shit and now? He doesn't even have his wings anymore and they portray him as incredibly weak... Sad!

I realised there are mirroring scenes between this episode and Yellow Fever, in the moment Sam gives the talk to Dean he feels they are heros, in Y F instead, he says: " you know who does that? Crazy people! We are insane!". Feel free to check it out. Even with his attitude he mans the flashlight!
