By the way, "Moriah" in the Old Testament was a place where Abraham sacrificed his son Isaac because God demanded it.
@shehulkgolding22069 ай бұрын
Small correction: he didn't actually sacrifice his son but was willing to.
@theradiantdehd3997Күн бұрын
@@shehulkgolding2206Yeah, there’s a massive difference between God commanding someone to murder their son as a sacrifice to him, and him using it as a test of their dedication, but stopping him and showing that he’s going to do the same with his son for the salvation of all mankind, but that in his case, Jesus will actually go through with his sacrifice. The first is a cruel god who demands human sacrifice, the latter is an endlessly loving God who is willing to let his son pay the price for all of humankind’s sins so everyone can receive his grace. A small detail that makes all the difference.

one of the best season finales in my opinion…great episode with great potential storyline🔥i’m not gonna go and say they used it well but it had amazing potential. at this point with supernatural everyone thought they knew the characters and how they would wrap up the season, so, this was a fresh air to even see shit that we didn’t guess with these characters.

So, I've been kind of a fan of season 14 in your comment section and I had only seen it once before so it's more that I remember all the good parts from it that i personally loved. I get why you didn't really like the finale but it's actually one of my favorite finales because I did not think supernatural would have the guts to go the Chuck is evil route after season 12 even though I wanted them to. Supernatural has always painted God as an absent father & someone a bit more complex but Supernatural also likes to romanticize their absent father figures (the John Winchester and Chuck parallels they like to do) so I actually loved this the first time I saw it because I always wanted God to be more of a villain in Supernatural & I really liked the reveal of evil Chuck. And I liked the conflict throughout the episode where Cas is just clearly trying to be a good father (in contrast to Chuck) but he's also kind of losing his best friend in the process and he is also still in denial about who Jack has become. Then there's Dean who processes grief through anger and Sam who is stuck in the middle and trying to deal with his own grief through bargaining. I love that they in a way represent stages of grief while their little found family is falling apart & then Chuck is revealed to be evil. I just really like the potential the whole storyline has.

Sorry for the third comment haha, but you should defo watch that last scene with ‘god was never on your side’ unmuted the whole way. I think that is why this episode has such a high rating, that entire montage is epic. I really like this finale since it truly feels like ‘the beginning of the end’ .

By the time this episode aired, the boys made the announcement that season 15 would be the last season. I think it started on insta.. and then spread everywhere else. I thought the internet would break.. there were sooo many memes.. mostly ones that said, please check on your supernatural friends.. they're not ok. I also like that they mentioned Crowley.. big mistake killing him off. Of all the little fun comedy moments in this episode.. Sam high step running takes the cake for me.. And we have another song that I'll never not associate with Supernatural. That list is long.

So, I'm one of the people who liked this season and I really like this finale. Chuck being the big bad made sense to me especially after the convo alt Michael had with Cas. The idea that he's a capricious God who's been setting up these scenarios for his own amusement is an interesting promising premise imo. Totally get your take on the season though and appreciate your analysis and honest opinion. It's always interesting to hear a different take and does make me reevaluate a few things in retrospect. I think a lot of the things that bothered you just didn't bother me at this point. I love the characters and enjoyed it for what it was and it was entertaining to me. A few small points. Chuck is god - he can pull a guitar from the ether lol. For Jack, I think we've established that taking his grace will kill him. Which would work if that's your objective, although I think Sam and Cas especially were trying to avoid that. And besides, that's not dramatic or flashy enough for Chuck. The black goo man is the manifestation of the Shadow which is the entity that maintains the Empty. It took the form of Cas and Duma previously. Season 15 is imo is very inconsistent and the first two episodes are rough. But again always interesting to see what you think so looking forward to it!

You're entitled to your opinion, but obviously the fandom disagrees. This was one of the BEST season finales. Sadly, it leads to the worst season, IMO (minus the last three episodes). S14 is divisive in the fandom. I happen to think it's second only to S13 in terms of the final five seasons. I loved the change in Jack, made him more interesting. I HATED Nick though. In fact, 99% of the fandom hates the Nick storyline. Not sure why you liked it. We were SO FUCKING SICK of Mark P by this time. Sadly it wasn't TPTB that prevented Mark S from returning as Crowley. He was very vocal about the turn Crowley took in S12 and the character's ending. He does appear in the hour long goodbye that was shown right before the finale.

Thought I’d at least dip back in a see you watch the finale. I know you checked out on the show the last few seasons (the griping and rewriting you do far outweighs anything good you have to say), but now you aren’t even being fair and honest about what you’re watching. The Colt with an extra step? No, it’s not. Did you is the whole part about it ricocheting? And so many other little comments. Season 15 is a mixed bag, but I have zero faith you’ll see any part of it as anything but bad. And I doubt you’ll extend it grace for what they had to do to the finale because of COVID. So, I’m ought to here for real this time. It was fun watching with you…at least for the first 11 seasons.

His Supernatural numbers have been dropping any way likely because he only just whines,makes dumb voices and thinks he knows better. Why would you watch someone trash a show you like with now near every episode. Honestly, don't bother with season 15. Move on to some other show.

I stuck around, hoping he'd love Season 14 but he just didn't get it on any level. Trying g to rewrite it as Lucifer (even to the point of calling this shows Lucifer Samael) is getting so tedious. There are two types of Supernatural watcher (I won't say fan), those who like only the first five seasons and those who understand the rest of it.

I think it was the shock that Chuck was evil that made people love this finale, but looking back at the season, aside from like one episode it wasn't set up well. Plus the season as a whole has its problems
@helenwood84829 ай бұрын
It's a pity Season 14 went over your head. It is the best season of Supernatural, but you never grasped the depth of it. You are the only person I have ever seen who wanted Jack dead. Well you and Not-Bobby, who also doesn't grasp anything in this world. They never said zombies aren't real. They have dealt with zombies before. They couldn't remove Jack's grace, because he would just die again. Cas was right, they needed to help him.
@WarLordArtos9 ай бұрын
I wanted Jack dead and season 14 is cheeks, 15 is even worse. This show stopped being good when the British Men of Letters became a thing. They pulled out an awesome 300th episode and that is the only highlight of the last 4 seasons of this show
@marydodge98449 ай бұрын
Every time you've mentioned how divisive season 14 was, that some people said this was their favorite season and some people said it was their least favorite season I'm shocked all over again because I literally couldn't imagine anyone having this as their favorite season. I could see some people not hating it as much as I did, but their favorite?? I just thought the writing was horrible this season. It felt disjointed, lackluster, often out of character, and no real overall plan. Characters popping up only to be killed off without ever being necessary to any plot point. Just felt like a bunch of lazy riding to me and the show deserved better than that.

Yeah I didn't like this episode. They did do some set up with God/Chuck being the big bad in the mid season finale. But it was vague and again there wasn't much time put into setting up the revel. I hated the writers making Dean so trigger happy, I hated Sam being so useless. And Yeah JerBear that's what I've been saying they should've drained Jack's Grace the moment he got it back, not completely get rid of his powers since he needed his Grace to live, but they could clearly weaken him like it was done to Lucifer and Micheal. But sadly the writers just made everyone act like idiots for the sake of drama.
@Aegi979 ай бұрын
With the story they were going for, they did it well. I disagree with a lot of the decisions they made however lol. And very clearly Eric Kripke didn’t write Chuck as God when he was first in the show, and it was retconned a lot. I mean, his visions in season 4 were clearly not him being god..I definitely preferred Chuck as the prophet. Anyway, I think the high score for this episode is because “God being the villain? Crazy!!”… I really wish 15 was better. They bring back the MOTW of the week stuff to honor the show’s origins but it’s just horribly poor timing. Anyway, onward (but not upward 😂) lol.
@janematthews33949 ай бұрын
Erik Kripke told Rob that Chuck is God during the filming of season 5. So they've known about it for 9 years. Also, one of the very first lines Chuck said on the show was "There's only one possible explanation. Clearly, I'm God".
@patrickmcguire78969 ай бұрын
Yeah Season 15 in my opinion is the worst of the series. Surprisingly I enjoy MOTW and filler episodes, and even if I have issues with a seasons main plot as long as their was a near majority episodes I liked I often gave it a pass. But this is the FINALE season and unlike before their was no chance of it coming back so we really didn't have time to waste on filler.
