This sort of brilliance is why CW kept with the show for 15 years. They basically wrote them a blank cheque- said they’d keep the show running as long as Jared, Jensen, Misha and the rest of the cast and crew wanted to keep going. It’s one of the few shows that was truly able to set its own time, because they weren’t in fear of cancellation. Well, the brilliance and the insane fan base. We tend to be pretty serious about this show.

I was fairly deep in the fandom when this episode aired. At the time, most of us were on LiveJournal and Television Without Pity (TWoP). Fun fact--the commenter's name Dean reads on the website, Simpatico, was an actual, frequent poster on TWoP. And this is not the only episode where they reference that site. Not giving spoilers, but those of us who were around still remember. 😂

I love the meta episodes. And how they like to call out that they don’t have the biggest fan following (ratings) but the ones they do have are loyal. The actress you remember was from the episode with Linda Blair. Yeah, they reuse actors over the years. My mother watches a lot of Hallmark mystery movies and I noticed the majority of the actors from those movies have appeared on SPN. They film in Toronto and that’s where Hallmark films a lot of their movies as well.

I’m sure I don’t even have to tell you this is a supernatural classic and a fan favorite! I don’t know of anyone who hates this episode. The introduction to Chuck, a little Zacariah and Lilith. A prophet of the Lord, 😳. The Winchester gospel 😂😳😂😂😂. Love it! And it still gets better after this episode, which is amazing. These writers were on a mission with this one.

This is one of my favorite episodes of the whole show 😍, i fucking love cas 😍, when it comes to meta spn is superior, the SPN writers, show runners, cast and crew are VERY aware of everything that happens in the fandom, it feels nice but scary sometimes 😂, in terms of shipping Sam and dean is personally not my thing, my otp is dean and cas hence my username 😂, anyway, that was a great episode and your reaction to it is the best.
