Hearing Sam’s regular voice and cadence back really shows how well Jared was playing soulless Sam.

I will never not be sad that Cass went in for a hug and Sam *sat down*. :((( Poor Cass...

Even though we've seen him only like two times, I trust Death a whole of a lot more on matters of cosmic or mystical importance (souls specially, I mean he is the one taking them to the other side) than I would a simple angel, even one I love as much as Cas.

My favorite line of the season “they’re not like the Loch Ness monster dragons aren’t real“

I love the musical cue returning with the wind up when Dean goes for the sword again. I'm also looking forward to the backhalf of this season and most of the rest of the series. I don't care what anyone else says, this show stayed great for most of its run. Looking forward to the next one.

Same here, for the most part. I dropped the series (and 99% of TV) right around Season 11, so I don't know how the final third of the show turned out, but the second set of five seasons were great, with season 7 being the weakest IMO, but still fantastic by most standards. This one didn't feel all that great at the time, but once you're past it and you can look at it in hindsight, it's much better. And the same goes for watching it a second time, since you know what's going on and how it all ties together. It still has a few wasted opportunities and some wasted potential, but overall it was a very good season.

Sam: a hug would be really awkward. Honey, and avoiding it isn't? lmao! Anyway I love that scene with Sam and Cas because it really shows Sam being smart and well, playing Cas to make him spill the beans on what happened. I love clever Sam. I loved loved loved soulless Sam, but having our heart of gold Sam back... priceless

This is the first episode this season where things feel back to normal. The brothers dynamic is back now that Sam has his soul back and their taking on a new threat and I love it!

I'm still a bit sad for Cas that Sam didn't hug him. The scene when Dean tries to get the sword out of the stone is hilarious. The music and Jensen's facial expressions are perfect.

Sam with a soul didn't try to kill Bobby, and I don't think its fair that Bobby is holding that against him. Soulless Sam has a separate consciousness, and made all of his decisions by himself. Whether the wall breaks or not, Sam is better off here, because the alternative is suffering for all of eternity with Lucifer.
@patrickmcguire78962 жыл бұрын
Agreed I get things might be awkward for Bobby but he’s not even trying to hide his sudden dislike for Sam and it’s an issue since he knows how dangerous it is for Sam to remember and the lengths Dean went through to get his soul back the least Bobby could do was play along and not be so hostile

Yes, this was a terrific episode. Dr. Visyak was one of my favorite women on this show. She was played by the very beautiful Kim Johnston Ulrich. The part where Dean was trying to pull the sword our of the stone air a few months before the first Thor movie came out to theaters, where you see a similar theme where he had to be worthy to be able to use Mjollnir. Yes, it's very important for Sam to remember to NOT scratch the wall!! The Souless Sam story line was reminiscent of the two times when Angel lost his soul in the Angel/Buffy saga.

If sam went to see Bobbys friend instead of dean he definitely would be able to pull the sword since he was the one that killed the dragon later.

The dragons had to be the lamest antagonists in the series. At least top 10. If I say anymore, It'll spoil some things. Even though they weren't all that threatening on screen or had much of a presence, and Lilith is the actual mother of all, not Eve. But, they already messed up the lore there, I appreciated the balance between comedic timing with Excalibur and Sam returning as Sam. It's a total 180 from Souless Sam. Gives the viewer a sense of relief having him back.
@feda98432 жыл бұрын
In the show Eve is the mother of all, this show doesn't go by real life "lore".
@zionow38442 жыл бұрын
Where does it mention Lilith is the mother of all? I remember it being said that she was the first demon but not the mother…unless you’re talking real life lore?

Okay, I'm sure I might be in the minority here. I'm one of those people that honestly wished the show would have ended at S5. This was one of the episodes where I was just like "Really?, Dragons?" and was one of the low points in the show that honestly made me eventually drop it as it went on. I think that last season I watched was like the start of S8. It just got too ridiculous for me with the constant threat having to outdo the one before, and I've heard from other people like "Don't worry it gets really good again!" but I think I'd rather stay with the vague fever dreams of S6-8 and how good the first 5 seasons were. Anyways, I do hope you'll enjoy the show till it's entirety but in my opinion the show ends up being too consumed by the fandom in the worst way possible through the rest of its run by CW wanting to get all they could out of their Golden Goose.
@johnvonundzu21702 жыл бұрын
Totally agree. When Grandpa Campbell showed ep in 6x1 I thought - really? This is so not good. But things bounced along pretty well until halfway through this ep when its utterly lame "dragons" appear. This was not just lame, it was silly. Sam & Dean stuck around for nine and a half more seasons, but the show we knew slowly bled out starting right about here.
@spiritofloveipi4804 Жыл бұрын
So because you lost interest in it then it should have ended, it wasn't made just for you alone it was made for the fans that continue to watch it to season 15. And I know I should not be annoyed because it actually went for 15 season, but it kind of annoys me that it could have ended because of some fans that I wouldn't have gotten to watch 15 season of Supernatural.

I don't get comments like this. There are series that made decisions to go in directions I didn't care for. I just stopped watching. I didn't wish they would have ended, because others still enjoy them, and it doesn't affect me to not watch it.
