@MaheshSharma-fo9lj10 ай бұрын
I am not trying to justify John in any way, Bobby was indeed a better father to the Boys than John will ever be. But John was their biological father, he watched them being born, raised Dean till 4 years and baby Sam, then his wife died, burned pinned to the ceiling. John became so scared and paranoid that he made it his mission to learn every single thing about monsters so that he could protect his boys, he became their drill sergant because for him it was better that they are alive and hate him than dead and love him, maybe because he couldn't lose another loved one not esceptially his children. I mean Bobby saw them as boys and maybe you know understood Boys better because he was experienced on the job and knew how to handle that fear better than John.

I love how s1-7 reapers are kind. They don't kill you, they just come to escort you to the next life (they don't even force you to come, its your choice) They always tell their charges that it's okay for them to go, that they're allowed to rest.

John really is a POS. How he could just say to Dean "oh by the way your brother's got evil inside him and you may have to kill him" is really F'd up. Compare this to how Bobby handled the situation in season 4. He and Dean locked him up and tried to help him. Bobby even considered just giving Sam demon blood, the very thing that was corrupting him, just to ease his suffering. When Sam broke out and Bobby held him at gunpoint Sam told him the only way he can help is to kill him and Bobby couldn't pull the trigger. I doubt John would have even hesitated. Bobby is ten times the man and father John was idc what anyone says.

Great episode. We found out a lot more about Bobby and there's one thing that we already knew: Sam and Dean mean the world to him. Like he said, they're his boys and having his last memory be of them and being able to say goodbye to them in his own unique way was the cherry on top. But poor Sam and Dean, this has to be like season 2 all over again for them when John died. Matter of fact, Sam trying to talk about the situation and Dean trying to avoid it is very much how they were acting in season 2. One thing I always found eerie was Bobby getting shot in the same place he shot his father at.

I just can’t get behind John being a good dad after all 15 seasons. The reason I can’t, is because he wasn’t. His final words to Dean when he was going to sacrifice himself were about how he may have to kill his brother. And he said nothing to Sam, not a damn word. Conditioning your sons to call you “Sir” putting the fear of God in Dean if you don’t fully keep a close watch on Sam, putting all the responsibilities of raising Sam on Dean since he was a kid, is not a good dad, it’s a man who had a personal vendetta against a demon that in the end he couldn’t even kill, his sons had to finish the job. He wasn’t a good father. He put them and raised them in situations they didn’t have to be in. Like what Dean said in “What is and what should never be” why’s it our job to save everyone all the time? Haven’t we done enough? Hell yes they did enough, all 15 years, they did a hell of a lot more than enough. Bobby was more of a father figure because he had their best interests at heart. He loved those boys, not because of how many Rugarus they just killed but that Dean tried to have a life that Hunters never get, a happy one with a woman and kids. That Sam beat what John, his own dad, thought he was destined to be, evil. Bobby had faith. John never did.
@mizixy96242 жыл бұрын
Sorry Cameron, but being in a relationship where one person wants kids and another doesn’t can very much break up the relationship. While some relationships can find a way to work through it and compromise or change their minds in the end, some can’t. That leads to resentments or even worse, a child being created where one parent doesn’t even want them.

It’s called the cycle of abuse for a reason. Often times the abused grow up to become abusers themselves. Sometimes it’s because that’s what they grew up with and think it’s right or else they’re trying to get up the control they lost as children from they’re own partners or children.

Bobby is everything a good dad is cause there isn’t 1 definition of a good dad and John died for both sons as Sam wouldn't survive without Dean. FYI John gave the world heroes as they're heroes cause they're hunters. Bobby had the boys sometimes John had them more and longer. Also the 1st 4 years before the brain path ways harden when it's easiest to teach kids so the 1 who installed being a hero was John not Bobby. As for Bobby if he was born around his portrayers time 1940-1950 most women were taught since child hood that the only job they'd have is being wife and mother. If they work at another job it was only long enough to catch a husband. John was raised by a single mom in the 1950's. Even if the dad was a complete ass abandoning his family society would blame her and the kid. Not the real bad guy. Bobby never got a chance to make up with Karen as she got possessed and died right after. Bobby's fear of being his dad made him think better safe then sorry. In Dead men the Zombie ep resurrected Karen told Dean she remembered even her death. He asked why didn't she say anything and she told him what would be the point all it would do would ruin their time together that they had left.
