Watched all 15 seasons and sure it has weaker seasons but some of the best episodes are in them seasons. I would also say the weaker seasons are not bad apart from season 7. The first season has a scarier darker tone but from then there they reached a perfect balance of drama and comedy with each season being a combination of monster of the week and season long story arc. I would not say they jumped the shark - some of the best and funniest episodes are out there but so well done. If it make you feel better Snooky played a demon and was on screen for a minute and Paris played a bad guy and was only in one episode. The show is quite a ride but so worth it!

They literally have an episode called “jump the shark” in like season 4 or 5 😂😂😂 honestly it was pretty tame. This show is just constantly hilarious and then once or twice a season they just go all out and do some stupidly hilarious and crazy, and genius episode. This is also probably one of the most meta shows you will ever see. Due in part to how connected the cast and crew and writers were to their fandom. Like there are episodes that straight up troll fans and they even taken ideas and nicknames that came from the fandom and wrote them into the show. It stays pretty consistent through all the years. Everyone has their favorite seasons, but there’s really only one season that has any general agreement that is was below par. And yet that season has some of the most iconic and well love stand alone episodes of the whole show. A show this long that also has essentially only 3 or 4 main cast members who carry the entire show…you get SUPER invested in their characters. Which is easy to do because they are constantly changing, and making mistakes, and growing. It would also be impossible unless that cast genuinely liked eachother and love what they do. Jared, Jensen, and Misha breath a lot of life into this show and even start directing episodes

I would say Supernatural is one of those shows that never dips so bad in quality it would make you want to stop watching. Some of the storylines can get a bit depressing at times but that’s why they have these comedic episodes to lift you back up. For me season 7 was rough except the last few eps and early season 8. But then it gets really good again. Season 12 takes a small dip in quality and then season 13 is amazing.

i watched the whole series 3 times. and i enjoyed it. the first time, i binge watched the first 5 seasons. then months later i watched till season 9. then months later i finished to 15. it was so good. it definetley had some weird scenes but it was soooo deep and emotional. and the humor and emotions and darkness in this show is very well balanced.

They jumped so many sharks during the course of the 15 seasons, but it's important to remember that we're dealing with all manner of mythology, alternate dimensions, demons and delusions and everything else. They managed to weave it all in extremely well and the only times I thought it went a little bit too far was the Wizard of Oz and "I killed Hitler" episodes. When it's all taken out of context it seems much more bizarre and unbelievable than it is when you're watching it. There's a whole lot of humor in it too, mostly after the start of season 4 when characters really go in new directions.

No the biggest thing they dealt with was 3 or 4 different show runners all pushing the show in different directions when they took over. First 5 were the best and make by Kripke, who also makes The Boys

ive seen the entire series, and i can say i enjoyed each and every season. they managed to create a unique plot for each season which led to another event. the show literally revolves around two brothers and different world ending happenings, it was awesome how in a very 'horror' type show they managed to put some comedy, which is normally very difficult to do so they did a fantastic job at that. also, just a little background, the actors of brothers, jensen and jared (sam and dean) are best friends in real life and consider themselves to be brothers, which i find awesome, they said that was the reason supernatural was one of the top rated imdb series and how it managed to hold out for so long (:

I turned the TV on and "Monster Movie" was on and I got into it. Up to then I had never heard of Supernatural. It was that black and white ep. with the vampire. I think that was season 4 or 5. I was hooked. So I had to go back and try to watch from the beginning. I watched most of the seasons. It didn't really fall off for me until like 11 or 12 I think. There were still some good episodes though. I did catch up and watched the last season. It's on Netflix, so you can watch all you want. I go on there and rewatch my favorite episodes. Some of them never get old.

My favorite season was actually season 11, but even after that there were a lot of good episodes. I wasn't a fan of the ending, but with how many great episodes there was in the entire show, I still love it and rewatch a lot of episodes from time to time.

For me, the first three were great; they set up the characters, the general plot, easy monster of the week type stuff. It was season 4 though where it started to get into much more interesting territory. It started to focus more on not just the paranormal but biblical lore. It wasn’t just ghosts and demons, they introduced angels and heaven and the plot got more complex, as did the characters motivations. Also, the introduction to a character that pretty much carried partial weight on his shoulders for most seasons after that ( Castiel). It’s seasons 7 and 8 that didn’t do quite as well in my book, though season 8 had a phenomenal finale I have to admit). Personally I think the peak of supernatural was in its last four seasons. Lots of compelling characters came around then, plus beloved characters coming back for a surprise return arc. I really think that you should take a chance on going all the way through. Though I will say that the finale of the show disappointed me greatly, finishing it and getting to wrap up all the main characters stories were worth it. First season is very rough but it’s something that you have to watch long enough to let it grow on you. 😄🤷🏻‍♂️

I watched the first 7 seasons as it aired. Then I got back into it at the start of season 10. Lost 😒 interest until I heard the series was ending. For some reason I started bingeing it from the beginning. Then started kicking myself for not watching all the episodes. Yes there are some slow parts, every show has them, but overall it is a fantastic show.

Yay finally more spn!😊 so Snooki appeared on s9, and Paris Hilton on s5. Supernatural has everything: humor, tragedy, horror, drama etc. As you've already noticed, some episodes are different, they are not scared to experiment with different genres, go meta, or even make fun of themselves while completely staying on track with the storyline. That's what makes spn so much more special 😊 For me it was highly enjoyable all the way through (maybe one season in the middle was less good), I've already watched it 2 times from start to finish and will definitely watch it again in the near future 😅 P.S. idk what season would be considered as "jumping the shark", if any... but supernatural actually has an episode called "Jump the shark" (s4e19) 😂😂 sorry for a long comment and pls do more spn

Can't find another show of this style that could put out as many good episodes, even in it's later seasons, than Supernatural. There are gems from every seasons. Not all seasons are gems, but some of those clips are payoffs for years of watching, so out of context you can't appreciate how amazing it is. Also, some of the funniest episodes held the biggest gut punches. SPN often wrapped their most absurdist stuff in the most painful lessons the brothers had to learn.

The show was initially written with a 5 season story arc.... so they HAD to branch out after that, otherwise it would've become stagnant... but they still managed to stay true the cannon and characters they had created... just in ever evolving ways. Some people can't handle change... and I think that's where some people lost the thread. However, there's a reason it was on for so long... they built this insane little world with sooooo much lore, heart and humor at it's core, that even a weaker season was always going to have some absolutely genius episodes. And yes, they did indeed 'Jump The Shark'... there's literally an episode with that title in season 4. 😄 But the thing is... that's always been a FEATURE of the show, not an indication of decline. It's actually built into the canon. The show manages to balance the intense drama and action that makes up the majority of the series, with perfectly timed humor... and the one or two episodes a season where they go FULL comedy, are some of the absolute best! Anyhoo... hope you give it a shot! Personally, it took about three seasons for me to get really invested... imo, that's about when they hit their stride with the storyline... so if you start, just stick with it!

You will never get a true consensus on when Supernatural jumped the shark. We all have our ideas and sime of us said ine season and changed our minds later. If you are going to watch, I suggest watching at least the first five seasons as long as you stop two minutes before the last episode in season five. That will give you a relatively whole story. I think you'd have fun watching the whole thing, the best memes come from later episodes.

I’m watching the entire series for the third time. It is good throughout. Of course some episodes are better than others but it is very addictive. In the later seasons they always seem to place an off the wall comedic relief episode among the gruesome scary stuff. I think it is so well written. When it gets too scary I just hav to close my eyes briefly the continue watching. Great show all around.

You can not have a show on for 15 years and not have some seasons that are weak (or bad) but if you work through those the entire show is worth watching. I would say which seasons to skip except there are great episodes in all of them.

I’ve known fans who quit watching at various points in the series. There were a couple of times I considered it, but I watched through to the end. I was glad I did because the series finale did a great job of tying the entire narrative back around to the beginning. It was really satisfying. I’d be interested to see if/when you lose interest.

It's not that it got weird at season 10, it was always weird, it just got really crammed and convoluted and the stakes were unrealistic. There were some great characters introduced in the later seasons, though. Charlie and Jack came in very late but were really memorable

Supernatural has the best was how cohere horror and comedy and absolutely riddiculousness and really serious topic. It's damn tragic half of the time but some episodes you think you are watching sitcome. So yeah. That's why is the show sooooo good and popular. Everyone can find the bets for them in it. everyone should watch this show in its entirety and in order. In my opinion season 1-5 is genius especially compared to what was on at the time. Season 6-10 were different but great as well. season 11-15 were still good tv but I was not as enthusiastic to be sure I was in front of the tv in real time. Yes, I watched it in real time for 15 years, and many seasons had to rewatch the episodes multiple times before the next weeks show. Out of all the people I have suggested watch this only one could not (or just refused to) get thru the first episode without getting sucked in.

Supernatural is only canon technically up til season 5 anything after that is like a whole another show. Its still my favorite show, but the creator kripkey (i dont think i spelt his name right lol) only did the writing for the show up til season 5, it literally had an ending but they added a couple scenes to continue the show.

Supernatural never jumped the shark, although it did have an episode called Jump The Shark. 326 episodes were perfect and they only screwed up on the finale, episode 327. However, you won't understand any of these clips without seeing the episodes. I suggest you watch it again after you have seen them. Sadly. this video contains major spoilers.

I watched the entire series from start to end. Yes this show was creepy but every few episodes they would do a more lighthearted episode. The first five years were pretty serious with the lighter mood coming after the creator of the show Eric Kripke left and he is now the show runner of The Boys. I enjoyed every aspect of this show with probably only the Scooby Doo episode being one that I didn't really care for. Take the time to watch the whole series and I think you will be surprised at how much you might like it.

And it was like great and terrible sometimes inside an episode or a season or one season was great and the next terrible. But all the way through it was enjoyable. I've seen all 15/16 (bc they actually had to break up season 15 due to covid) seasons. It's just a hilarious show that never takes itself too seriously which is why when it does jump the shark it's still fun as hell to watvh

I watched the entire series and the only time the show "jumped the shark" for me was the finale (which was an absolute shitshow and not worthy of what the rest of the show was). I know some fans who either stopped or wished they had stopped after season 5, which is when the creator of the show had completed his planned arc and left, but I really enjoyed the entire series. Seasons 7 and 9 are probably my least favorite seasons, but even so, they still have some great episodes (the season story arcs just weren't my favorite).

@@ToddReacts yes, the ending is *that* bad. To give you a hint, Andrew Dabb, the show runner in S15, and the writer of E20's script, came out and said in an interview that only about 30% of the audience would like the finale. He overestimated. ;)
