I think that part with Dean asking Sam to tell him it's okay is not just for him but for Sam as well. Like, in getting Sam to tell him that it was okay to go, Dean was also making sure that Sam would know that things would still be okay without him - giving him the confidence to carry on.

I started crying the second Dean said to Sam "stay with me" because that was Dean asking for help and comfort and to not be alone which he never does. He always wants to be alone and figure things out in his own. Those few words just made me sob then i couldnt stop. This is such a great beautiful video. Well done

He was a badass mans man who hardly ever showed emotion and here he was asking for help and for Sam to tell him its ok like he needed permission and that he knew Sam was going to be ok.

I feel like while this was a very emotional ending; if you think about it we've seen them die several times through out the years. Both of them. And while Sam was of coarse devastated at losing Dean for the rest of his life, he knew what was waiting after he died. To a degree anyway since I'm sure he figured there were changes with Jack. But they both seen behind the curtain so he knew he'd see Dean again.

It took a lot for me to even watch the final episodes of Supernatural. I was like six when it started but it was around nine when I got into it, I've always known how it would end to some extent but it was much harder having to actually watch it all unfold. This show, this fandom, it's such a huge part of my life I've been dreading the day it would end since around it's tenth season, that's sixteen years of the amazing stories, relationships, bonds, theories, twists and turns and I will never forget the joy this show brought me. How it connected me with so many amazing people, it seems silly to some I'm sure but I don't much care about that. I'm proud to be a fan of this show, to have watched Jared and Jensen grow, for the adorkable and loveable Misha, to have witnessed the growth of these characters, the actors, the show, the fandom. I'll probably cry a whole lot more after this but I'm still happy that in the end it was still Sam and Dean together, like we always knew it would be. I can't wait to see what they do next in their careers, everyone even down to the oldest characters with the briefest appearances, can't wait to support them and most above all I can't wait until a new generation discovers Supernatural so that we may welcome them with open arms and share with them all of the memories we've accumulated. This edit was so beautiful and thank you for sharing it with us.

I think he’d teach him about that part of the world, make sure he’s safe. And then when he’s 18, give him the choice. He can hunt if he wants, or he can have a normal life. Sam was more about choice than anything. That’s what his biggest problem with John was, that he didn’t give them a choice. He forced them into hunting, kicked him out for wanting to not hunt. Plus, he’s not gonna just cut out all his friends who are hunters, or in Garth and his family’s case werewolves. He’s gonna be raised with certain aspects of that world always there. (Plus, hes sams son... would the demon blood powers be passed down to him? Because that’d be awesome...)

I didn't think that he became a hunter (Sam probably taught him some things, but I doubt he did any actual hunting since Sam wasn't anymore), I just think Sam had him get the tattoo so that he couldn't be possessed by anything. Like you said, Sam knew what was out there, and he wouldn't want to take the risk of his son getting possessed, even if it wasn't a hunter anymore.

It wasn’t the best ending we expected. However, the boys we grew up with is now in peace with the rest of their family in Heaven. We also know Castiel is brought back by Jack from the Empty. He’s safe now. They’re all safe. They can continue on living their lives in Heaven with their family. Hopefully if ever there’s a season 16, Sam’s son, Garth’s kids, Claire, etc reunite.

Being a fan of the series from the very start and I have to say it was a very sad ending and didn't really expect Dean to die that way...also him being an expert Hunter all he's life he's avoided so many possible deaths. But then again the boys have died probably more times than I can count and also having an angel such as Castiel by their side could easily heal their wounds. So take away Castiel and Jack the boys are now vulnerable and so any critical injury will certainly mean death. But at the same time why didn't Sam call for Jack for help to heal Dean's wounds because he's God now...but I guess God can't interfere with mortals. There's could of being so many different ways to end the series...either both of the boys give up hunting and live a normal life and die or old age or die a hunters life. Dean certainly had a hunters life while Same was more educated man who studied monsters and the Men of Letters so essentially Sam could of been the head of Men of Letters around the world. I mean how did Sam survive without Dean's by he's side...Did Sam say a hunter until he's son became a Hunter too. There's part of the story we could easily think of once Sam is now on he's own after Dean's death...Does he give up hunting? or find another partner to help him hunt? because Hunters usually go in pairs because otherwise you can easily get killed on your own fighting Vampire hordes? Dean trained Sam to be the best Hunter and now he's died of old age you can see Sam may have become a legendary Hunter himself or at least lead a team of Hunters and carry the Men of Letters legacy. But having a Heaven's ending is certainly a happier ending as it see all the boys work as being hunters and saving probably millions of peoples lives I can see why Jack would give the boys the Heaven that they deserve. Personally I thought Jack becoming God (Second last episode) should be the true ending as when Jack brought back mortals to earth because of Chuck vanquishing them then Jack could of easily prevented bringing back monsters to earth too and so Sam and Dean could of easily could of retired from Hunting at that point as their is no more monsters left in the world...well that's a possible theory. But having watched the show I now know not every monster is evil in the series and just look at Mrs Butters and Garth both you can say are monsters but their not evil. The whole series was about fighting the forces of Heaven and Hell and even beings from purgatory and even Death itself it also another force to fight with. The series has almost every Supernatural myth brought to life with the show and I'm glad I watch it entirely from start to finish and its certainly one of my favourite shows. Its sad to see the show come to an end but not all shows last forever but I guess I can say I'm sort of satisfied the boys get the heaven they deserve after having a troubled life of having to keep saving world. They only way I can wrap up my comment to this series is that I can say I'm glad I lived to watch to this show.
