You know what's okay? Nothing.
Guys, I think my heart ache. Okay, but before I ramble about finale, I want to thank you who still watch my videos. After finale aired I received a few very nice comments on different videos and they weren't even anything like "will you make a new one on finale?" (which also would be okay of course), they were just like hey, I watched a finale and decided to rewatch your video. It's so so nice, I was very touched. I know I've probably lost a lot of viewers due to my luck of my activity, but I'm super grateful for those who have patience and still check out my videos, thank you.

Now about the elephant in the room. I'm gonna be negative, prepare yourself. I'm one of those who isn't happy about finale. I can see what they've wanted to say, but personally I don't like how it's done. And just in general, I think with the direction of last few seasons it was almost impossible to bring it "home" if you know what I mean. I think showing how hell looks like, how heaven looks like, who is God and all these high forces are, for me it's all been a huge mistake. Because in first five seasons you have this feeling that there's something so powerful out there that a person can't even imagine how it looks like (for example that's why angels needed "meat suites"). In this situation you really feel that boys are against something grand. And when I see that the hell and heaven are just some corridors why would I care about it or fear it? And God is just so little and pathetic that in the whole wide world he's obsessed with these two. And I think term family was pushed too hard also. There were lots of new characters and - either because the cast was getting on so well or because some other reason, - but the character could appear like 1 or 2 times and in the next scene brothers will yell how "this is family!". I don't know, maybe it's me, but I've always cared more about Jo and Ellen and Ash and Rufus ect way more than about Charlie, Jody, Donna and others.
Okay, I can go on about it forever. Gosh, I'm so upset about this ending. But of course the scene in barn was very good. The dialog was great, not too cheesy, but very touching and Jared and Jensen gave an amazing performance as always. I honestly thought I would handle it better, but I'm a mess.

Don't think I'm that fast with making a video, I've been preparing it for a long time ahead and I have a couple more projects which've been waiting for the grand finale, maybe I'll upload them also, I don't know yet. It was pretty hard to do this video, because I didn't want it to be repetitive, but what you gonna do? Of course I had to use this final scene in all it's glory.

The ending was good in my opinion. I wish Dean had gone out with more style though. Like his whole thing was to go out like Butch and sundance. Anyway I am happy that Dean died and not Sam. Because dean didn't want to die of old age. And if Sam had died, Dean would've tried to bring him back again like he always has. Sam got the life he always wanted. To live a normal life and die old. However I will miss Dean. He's been my favorite since day 1.

oh yeah, it would be even worse, Dean wouldn't handle it at all I think. I think if he wouldn't find to bring Sam back he would just kill himself at some point. For me it's hard to accept this ending. I know some greatest stories are the tragic ones, but this is too much for me somehow

I agree, I am "happy" that at least Dean didn't have to go through Sam's death again. Honestly, that would have been the worst thing that could have happened to Dean. Not to say that Sam didn't love him, but we all know that Dean would have tried to bring Sam back anyway and probably sacrifaced himself in the process or something like that...I would hate to see that. But my heart broke for Sam anyway.

The ending was weird but perfect: it was the ending the boys had always wanted. And I know a lot of people don't see it that way but, as Jensen said, the ending is difficult to understand but when you actually think about it...it couldn't end any other way

so agree with you! I was thinking about s5 finale and there was similar situation - one brother lives, the other one dies, but Sam's death had so much meaning and sense there. And this one seems like a really stupid thing to die to after all they've done. Also I hated the wig.

I'm with you my friend. When I was watching the barn scene I just couldn't stop thinking how hurtful it is to Dean to know that this is it for him, that from that moment Sam will go on without him and he will just die in this barn. This is honestly hurts me too much

you know when you're watching a comfort movie that you've seen a thousand times and there's music playing and then your favorite character has a line right as the music hits the arc and you without even realizing it are saying whatever their line is along with them? that's how I felt when dean said "driver picks the music, shotgun shuts his cakehole"

But for me the thing that redeemed it is what the show's always been about - the bond between brothers. Amazing work! I cannot describe how heartbreaking it is to see Jared and Jensen do the best work of their careers, resolving the brothers' story the way it should have been resolved - with the brothers and no-one else - only to go online and see so much hatred. Jared has spoken about cyberbullying before and it sucks, seriously, to think of this so called "SPN Family" behaving like a bunch of entitled infants. I need him to know so many people adored the finale.

This video was GREAT and I'm going to binge watch all of your other videos because you are one of my favourites ever ❤ thank you for sharing it with us as for the finale, before watching I literally sent a voice note to one of my friends who doesn't watch the show saying: "my bet is that one of them is going to die, the other one has to learn to live alone and then they meet in heaven." Just to say how original the writers were. There were many things that they could have adjusted if they wanted to follow this line. Like, couldn't they show them living their lives for at least a couple of years before letting Dean die? Also, Dean's been suicidal for years and you "reward" him with an early death? Still, while I was watching it the first time I cried and thankfully the bitterness arrived only after... And the acting in the barn scene was great, I really appreciated them putting in every bit of effort.

First of all, thank you so much for you words, it's very kind of you! And about finale funny how you've seen this coming. I was so sure brothers will go down together that I was cocky enough to start one video project where I used voiceovers from Bonnie and Clyde movie, where they talked about how dying together was their only way to go. Nothing prepared me for this pain. But I agree with you, I think I would like it more if it wouldn't be so abrupt and just how's done generally. I didn't like stupid wig and how the Sam's son acted, just how Sam's life was showed basically. And yeah, I can understand how they wanted to show this "ordinary" death, but firstly it was like you said - too soon, like one day they won, the other Dean went and died. Secondly it's also what you've mention, for me was so so painful to watch how Dean was thinking himself of nothing like a tool to hunt his whole life and so in the end it sort of turned out true. Like the main villain killed, so Dean could die. But yeah acting was superb

I agree 100% with your video description. In my eyes, the show also couldn't decide which genre it wanted to stick to. First it was a drama, then it turned into comedy (I mean the last few seasons have been ridiculous) and then in the last, what, 4 episodes it tried to be a drama again and nothing fit together anymore. Let's just say I'm glad I found your video and I LOVE that you didn't use a song with lyrics but an instrumental instead. It feels so much more intense this way. Thank you!

oh yes, comedy aspect is another thing. Like in first seasons were lots of such funny moments, but it wasn't pushed in your face, and in last seasons humor got pretty weird, like you said, like it's another genre. I need to say I especially dislike Lucifer in last seasons. No disrespect to the actor, but just his (character's) jokes seem so lame to me, I can't stand it. When it's version of Sam being Lucifer it's so cool and scary, it has something majestic about him, I don't understand why the same character has completely different personalities depending on which body he posses. So, about the rebar... Imma be unpopular here and say that I like that ending. I watched the recent panel with Rob Benedict and he affirmed what I was thinking: Chuck wanted blaze of glory, spectacular, gorey fratricide. He wanted that so it would be an epic story, who cares what the subjects of the story think. What happened when the boys had free will was the opposite. Saving 2 boys - their lives worth as much as anyone's. Quiet, normal, could-happen-to-any-hunter kind of deal. Quick but with time to say goodbye. That's free will. It's still horrific and hard to accept and I've been crying every time I watch something related to 15x20. It's tragic. As it was always going to be. Let's be glad it wasn't Kripke's ending bc that would've been so much worse apparently hahaha :' ) Alina, I absolutely loved your video. It's my favourite heart-wrenching edit after this finale. You built up to that last scene so beautifully. It hit me hard. Thank you

Thank you, the way you tell the whole story just piles up my mixing feelings for the barn scene, triggering the fear of me towards their death deep down in the early seasons. I recently feel numb to their death because they always get rescue and come back in a way or another. The flashbacks of season 1 remind me when they're more vulnerable and puny towards great powers. It hits right into me.

yeah, it was the same for me, it was such a never ending circle, that death wasn't such a frightening thing anymore. But I've tried indeed to bring this feeling of vulnerability of their lives and how they are not invincible after all, so I'm happy you've felt in in the video! Absolutely sobbing. Oh my god. Dean died as he lived: a paragon of humanity and heroism. Saving children, and dying due to a simple, ordinary accident. No god to correct their mistakes, or bring them back to keep living out the demands of some evil entity. Dean got to die human, in the arms of his brother. It was too soon, but this is how he knew it would happen. Still crying, three days later. Wow.

I've always considered your spn videos some of the best out there, Alina. The way you tackle every single concept, like, you never lose the sense of nostalgia that i absolutely love about the show, but at the same time it always feels new and fresh. I was hoping to see you edit it again after the final, and you didn't disappoint one bit. It's absolutely stunning! Tragic, emotional but it also makes me feel happy and peaceful. I'm sorry the finale didn't do it for you. I absolutely understand all the negative things you pointed out and agree that in general it could have been done better (especially the bringing it "home" part"). Nevertheless, i was actually quite satisfied with how they finished it up. It's not perfect, nope, but i'm also not mad at it. It hit the right notes and it didn't ruin the legacy or the rest of the show for me, which is all i could ask for in the end. The first watch was an odd and surreal experience but i've been thinking about it a lot ever since and read other's opinions on it (negative and positive). I think it's the closest to my personal ideal ending, but well, they never could have pleased everybody anyway. I hope that maybe with time you can make peace with it ♥️

Hi Alina! First of all I have to say that you are my favourite spn vidder ever and believe me I've watched a lot of fanvids. I think my favourites list is just flooded with your videos but what can I do - they are great. I think you've managed to grab the deeper meaning inside the series and judging by your comments in description I think that we perceive the show quite similarly. I strongly agree with you! last seasons have gone off the rails completely and I think the worst part that they've contradicted with what has been said in season 5 and earlier. I mean even in the finale: Bobby says that heaven (and btw totally agree that showing heaven as some kind of an office with white walls was beyond dumb) is no more your memories but a place for everyone. But what's wrong with reliving your best memories??? Dean and Sam fireworks scene was one of the best in the entire series! and moreover, I remember I understood that memories were just a road to some place. I mean they met Ash in heaven in season 5, it wasn't a memory. can't you, screenwriters, just rewatch your own series before writing some nonsense? btw I was pissed off when in season 10 they said "Dean should have never throw away the amulet" oh, I think he damn should've because it again was one of the deepest and dramatic moments, when Dean saw Sam's best memories and they were all about other life and other people. Also agree that when in Season 5 ending Chuck disappeared it was a mystery: is he God or not or what and it was a great open ending. And Season 5 was all about Dean and Sam writing their own destiny! why the hell Chuck is writing their story again, there's no logic at all. Also, making God a bad guy seriously??? You might want to consult with the church about that. I also don't understand where's everyone for the series finale: they've pathetically brought back almost each and every character just to kill them off again in and endless circle and you couldn't make Dean open the damn door of Harvelle's house so that we could see Joe, Ellen, Ash, Rufus maybe even Jessica for a moment? Dialog in the barn was great, I agree but didn't Dean deserve more glorious death???? I mean it could've been acceptable in season 1, when we didn't know anything about the SPN universe. Sorry for such a long comment but I am so pissed, with this show it's just always love&hate.

Hi! Well thank you so much for your words about my videos, this is honestly too flattering! When I make these videos I always try to hold on first 5 seasons feelings, maybe it helps a bit (I hope so at least) Seems we have similar views on show indeed! And btw you've made a very good point, I've been thinking about it too, but just forgot to write about it, because I've gotten lost in my thoughts - indeed what upsets me almost most of all about new seasons is that they screw perfect first ones. Like we know Sam and Dean defeated yellow eyed demon. Why did they? Maybe it's part of the story? We know that Sam's made an ultimate sacrifice and locked himself with Lucifer and it's been said that this is "their own way", but again is it now? It could be a Chuck's story also and not so much as Sam's will, who the hell knows. Like everything that's been before can be questioned, because of this whole new arc about Chuck. And yeah, making God evil like.. I'm not a believer so it's not like it's a personal issue for me or something, but again in first 5 seasons yeah, boys were thinking from time to time "god is a dick, he doesn't help us" but it wasn't clear, God was just mysterious higher power and nobody could know his plans. I liked so much how they didn't show him and that we just had these special people like Joshua and prophets who sometimes could bring messages from him. And I liked Chuck so much in first seasons and now it seems weird because of how the story goes. Oh and btw Bobby, I mean why the hell did they bring this apocalyptic version when he didn't act as regular Bobby and just basically didn't do anything at all? But again, I didn't like the whole apocalyptic idea itself and I didn't like Mary and british men of letters and lots of other new storylines. Sorry if I talk too much, it's just I'm happy to find someone with similar views so I ramble, but one last point: I'm also sad how Dean's died I mean I kind of can understand that maybe it's like a lesson here, you know? Like yeah, before all this Sam would've done something and that would cause further troubles and so now they accept their lives more, but because of the stupid fucking nail? I don't know man. Again, I guess it shows that it's this simple death that always could've happen to them and so it's happened, but just how it's done? They defeated God, next week Dean goes to eat pie and then die because of the nail in the wall. In s5 finale we also have similar "ending", one brother lives, the other one dies, but it was so epic. It was that the boy who was destined to be corrupted by Lucifer was able to resist it and make the right thing in end and thanks to his relationship with his brother. That way it has a deep meaning. I was SO sure that in the finale they will go down together, it really pains me, that yeah, Dean's destiny to be a grunt so he dies like one and Sam goes on with the whole family being dead.

Mary was a complete disaster, how dared they screw one of the most touching storylines! And yeah, completely agree with your points about finale. You know when I think about SPN after season 5 I am mostly bitter, but when I see the bits from them in your videos, where all the crap is edited out, they look great! so truly thank you for your great work!

I've watched and loved your supernatural videos for so long, I actually also came on your account to watch old stuff and was super glad to see a new video. Thank you so much for this. You're so talented, I'll always be grateful for your work and your understanding of the characters. I'm with you and Jensen. I'm not a fan of the finale. I think it would be impossible to make a satisfying finale when they ruined all mysteries and made God a character (not a good idea at all imo and the whole god is writing and thats why they're badass is a spit in the face of kripke's original idea but anyways) I think Jensen is right. He's too close to the character to enjoy the finale and so are all of us, editors and writers who have studied these characters so in depth, stuff that the current runners and crew of the show and casual viewers dont see so to them this finale fits. But I truly think it doesn't because I've paid attention to Dean Winchester and his fear of dying as a hunter and Sam's constant fight to give him a good life when he was always suicidal to say that it's supposed to be like this. To say that this death and finale honors him as a character. Also the execution of the whole ep was terrible but thats another can of worms. Either way, I'm happy for the show as a whole, sad to see it go and thankful it brought me to artists like you!

First of all thank you so much for your words, I'm touched and flattered and just.. thank you. And yeah agree with everything you've said. I think things might've been different if last seasons wouldn't be so weird and there would be a proper build-up, if Dean wouldn't think of himself as doomed person, lot of things. I guess maybe they've been thinking that it would be a beautiful tragic story, how the boy who thought that it's all he ever would know gets exactly that even he deserves better, but for me it's just tragic. Like I don't feel at peace with this ending. But I guess it's also too personal for me, because from the start I've felt closer to Dean. I love these two character very much, but Dean is just closer to me as a person, and so when they end him like that and that he stays just as a grunt in his eyes till the very end, it's too painful for me because I also project it on myself. And yeah like you've said a lot of thing were done badly in general.

@@Alina0405video I understand since Dean has also been my favorite AND HONESTLY as the brother who doesn't love himself and is so suicidal but is also such a loved character in the pop culture even when people dont know anything about Supernatural, I think it's a very despicable manner to end his legacy. It's not even about a tragic tale that's finished in a beatiful manner. Sam's death in the original ending in Swan Song was horrible yet beautifully done. The kind of tragic that people hate but its really well writen because it has purpose. Like Iron Man ending his life to save the world. But yeah, Supernatural has unfortunately just gone down hill season after season and with so many plot holes and mysteries ruined I wasn't expecting a grand finale. I just wish they went for the basic of killing off god and sacrificing themselves for it or beating him and getting an happy ending instead of making it all about Chuck and how he wanted a grand finale for them AS IF THATS A BAD ENDING WHEN ITS THE TRAGIC ENDING THEY DESERVED SINCE THEY WERE ALWAYS WRITING THEIR STORY. Hell at least brainstorming with the crew which Jensen said never happened. The fact he was never happy with it and still isnt just disappoints me because he was always Dean's biggest fan.

I would have been happy with an ending like the finale of season 9, after that beautiful finale of season 8 where yet again Sam tried to give his life for the world and confessed his biggest sin to be how many times he let Dean down. To have Dean be the one going down hill with the mark as an arc yet choose his own destiny by dying and telling Sam he was proud of them. That would have been tragic but beautiful. Not this. And I must say, you have one of my favorite videos ever of supernatural and its the "Its okay sammy" one from season 8. That video is a masterpiece showing the brother's dynamic, it truly shows that a beautiful tragic ending for Dean would always be saving humanity and ultimately his little brother. Not impaled by a nail and forced to have Sam tell him its okay. You have done such gorgeous edits with this story, you truly understand it and it's a shame they ruined such a beautiful show in the last seasons like this but at least we have the past and your gorgeous work is proof of that. yess I'm glad you've mention it, because I was thinking it when I was watching the episode and when Dean started to say this "tell me it's okay" I couldn't stop thinking "nooo he's scared, I don't want him to be scared noo". I feel on one hand Dean was glad that Sam would be able to carry on without him after all, but I feel like it still was a horrible situation for Dean. I couldn't stop imagining his thoughts like yes, my brother is gonna carry on and I will just die in this barn now and this is it for me and this is what's been always there for me.

@@Alina0405video I don't think Dean was afraid and I feel like he was at peace with dying then. The "tell me it's ok" was him needing to know Sam would be okay without him. That his death wouldn't destroy his baby brother. He couldn't go in peace if he thought Sam couldn't go on with his life. That's why he reminded Sam how strong he always was...even when they were kids. How he stood up to their dad and all the other horror he survived. How he always keeps fighting. But he needed to hear his brother tell him that it's okay. That he could go. Sam knew he had to give that peace of mind to his brother no matter how devastated he was. That's how I interpreted it, anyway!😥
