“some story in the old covenant” which I don’t understand - should we not have understanding of “the stories in the old covenant” Chris? Luke 5:1, Luke 8:12, Luke 11:28, to name but a few Scriptures, align 100% with 2Tim3:16; further to, ALL references Jesus point to in the gospels, refer directly to the first “old” covenant. Kindly note, I’m referring to your statement at time 9:30 of this video. Regards.

What he is saying here, I believe is that Jesus is our role model for ministry, rather than Joseph, David, Moses, Deborah, etc etc. They are all of great value in terms of God's principles, though they are also all humans with their own flaws like us. Jesus is the perfect minister, and when we actually model our lives on Him, based on our intimate relationship with Him and our understanding of Him, then everything else tends to flow naturally as well, including our understanding of the Old Covenant characters and what we can learn from their lives. ❤️
