Everyone here doesn't get it. The whole point of Supernatural was that God is neither good nor bad. God doesn't care that you are a virgin when you get married. God doesn't care that you scored the winning touch down. God doesn't care whether you brush your teeth for full 2 minutes. God doesn't care whether you live or not. God only cares about you overcoming the most difficult situation he puts you in. That's why the Winchesters are a fascination to him. Winchesters, time and time again, overcome every obstacle Chuck places before them. God wanted the Winchesters to fail at some point. But to his surprise, they never did. Now God decides to unleash all hell on them. Let's see what they do.

He tried to lock her up again, it failed, then he sent dean to her probably as his back up plan. To convince her to do the right thing and leave humanity alone. Which was after his original plan failed.

In season 15, i just want...good writing. Especially about God. -In season 11, God was nerfed as hell. He really did NOTHING against Amara. He did not fight against her. He did not show his power....meh.. -Nobody reacted to God in a way that made any sense for their character. The only character who seemed to truly appreciate the fact that this was GOD, the creator of EVERYTHING was Metatron. His interactions with Lord God were the only times that anyone seemed remotely interested in the fact they were with God two minutes after meeting him and he’s one of the few characters who actually knew him before. Yes I know Chuck interacted with Sam, Dean and Cas in the earlier seasons as the Prophet Chuck but obviously that isn’t the same as being around someone when you know they’re God. No one cared. Even the Angels, Dear Lord. God arriving should have shaken the show to its core, but instead His presence was just so…meh. But the characters actually acting like they give a damn would have helped set the right tone. Bad writing. Writers, just fix everything next season, please.

God could have done whatever he wanted... but he prefers to manipulate and use strategy to get what he wants. He set up events so that Amara would regret her actions against him and his creations thus making her forgive him in the process (this was implied in the show too with Lucifer saying God likes to play the long game)... it was genius really. In season 14 he showed he fibs a lot about what he can and cannot do... he is just having fun with his creations (they have set it like God is the show runner and has his 'actors' play out roles that entertain him). Also in the show he hates when people treat him as the almighty and want them to treat him as just another person (becasue he wants to be part of the story he loves watching play out so much).

God can potentially become the best villain. I feel like this show has been missing a legitimately threatening villain for a few seasons lately. Amara’s obsession with Dean killed any tension she might’ve had as a threatening character. Lucifer, while once upon a time, was once an intriguing and threatening villain, just became boring and with the show constantly Mcguffining Rowena’s abilities to do whatever the plot demands, he basically lost that sense of danger his character used to have. And Michael was just never a fully realized villain, he was just an amalgamation of motivations we’d already seen in Amara and Lucifer and over the course of season 14, it became increasingly apparent that Michael was no more than a place order for what the season really wanted to do, it’s hard to feel threatened or feel a sense of danger with a character like that. But Chuck feels legitimately threatening. They have no clear cut idea on how to kill him, he just created the next apocalypse with a snap of his fingers, and the layers upon layers of manipulation he has going on is just wow! And there’s just so many directions Chuck can go as both a villain and as a character that it’s really intriguing to think about. I’m super excited for season 15.

One thing I've yet to understand from this season. In the alternate Michael's world he said he chained his death. Yet death is considered all powerfull like God, but if he had another form in another world. This series really jumped the shark with the whole God thing. To do it right, you shouldn't bring up God on a show like this until the final episode. God appears, explains that all this was about teaching lessons to humanity, then it snaps it fingers and makes everything right. Making God a bad guy was really stupid. Makes no goddamned sense. And then the whole thing about God having a sister, and how the fuck can death be more powerful than God? By definition, NOTHING is more powerful than God. As I've said several times, to see a show that gets the theology right and does it in a way where everything makes sense, and God is God, not a bad guy, see Highway to Heaven. And yes, lots of people watched that show, it was awesome. 🙂

Honestly this disappointed me. Setting aside that i"m Christian (its fiction I can watch it as such) they completely contradicted the character of God as they've shown him in the last 13 seasons. God went from being concerned but unwilling to interfere directly because of free will to an ass hole writting fan fic because pissed at the plot twist in his latest tv show. Its a sharp right turn that doesn't fit him, for example, being ready to die to save the world from Amara. I'm hoping that 15 will reveal something else at work instead of this last minute hail mary pass.

Yeah, just...everything about this fulls like ass pull personified. Setting aside dogmatic concerns and faith, it just completely contradicts Chuck's established character. He's been distant and passive at worst, but never outright evil. And he's always intervened when needed. They're just rehashing Metatron's plot (which worked for that character, mind you) but with a higher tier heavyweight. Long story short: It didn't work in Preacher, and as much of a steaming pile as that comic ultimately well, it was remarkably well written. And it couldn't pull it off in a satisfying way.

Im so excited for the next season, Though I don't think Chuck will be A actual villain. Hear me out..... usually in the past anytime he said anything it usually amounted up to "You can fix the problem." Amara was something that Human, angels and demons couldn't handle on their own so he had to step in and fix A mess that he made but in doing so it opened the door to "if we are in A bad spot God will have our back and fix it." which that goes against his will of watching his creation grow. Chuck said in the past that he was once real hands on with Humanity and it was hurting them more than letting them learn on their own. Think about it if you can hold yourself against God and win then their is no reason for Him to step in and help. I believe that he will act as A villain to prove this point. If I am right or wrong I still believe this next season will be AMAZING!

Idk guys I get the impression that's it's been a part of the free will plan all along. I think that each failed universe was once tested similarly and failed and it's just this universe's time to be tested because each situation Sam and dean faced came down to personal choice instead of following someone elses plan. Dont be suprised if the ending of the show is all about Sam and dean doing as they alway did by choosing the hard right way instead of the easy way out that wouldnt end good for anyone. Itll come down to God always had a plan, he just needed them to do the right thing even if that meant disobeying God and not killing someone like Jack for the "right" reasons. Remeber they all keep saying that we will be happy with the way the show will end and I couldnt think of a better way. Still no tell what will come out of it.

When you think about God/chuck, this is probably how an inter-dimensional being would act if they were bored. The apocalypse was going to come no matter what, God enjoyed seeing The beings he created surprise him and he kept the story going seeing how much they could endure. But the story has to be finished at some point so he brought on the apocalypse.

Honestly, I think the only two ways to really put the show to bed even if it’s against the fan’s wishes are: 1. Chuck, Sam, Dean, and Castiel maybe a resurrected Jack all take each other out. Or Chuck ends up going back in time and writing Sam and Dean out of existence thus making the show technically never happen.

Maybe you can tell us Mr WW. There is a version around where Sam shoots twice, with the first shot turning the screen dark. After two seconds, the picture returns to before Sam shooting, after which he shoots Chuck in the shoulder. Was this just the result of the TV broadcaster replaying that scene after the commercials, or did the producers actually cut the scenes like that (twice)? If so, you could deduce that the first shot actually killed Chuck, and that time reset itself and the second time Sam shoots him in the shoulder.
