Them losing this fight has nothing to do with chuck removing their plot armor. They still have their fighting skills. The problem is this is not a run of the mill vampire. This vampire is an experienced mma fighting vampire, that is also much stronger and tougher than all other vampires. Sam and Dean usually have a machete on them

I like to think The boys have lost none of their fighting skills but when Chuck turned off their luck they started second-guessing themselves. Sam and Dean have better fighting moves than this, with or without Chuck. They are so tied up worrying they defeat themselves. It’s like trying to walk while thinking about your feet. They tripped themselves up in this fight.

I get them not having "plot armor" anymore, but they have 20 plus years of fighting skills in them, that was their own. And, the way they get hurt a lot and bounce back from it--plot armor. But there are a lot of moments that aren't shown due to time constraints. Which is why I loved "Baby" It shows them getting bloody and beat to hell, and surviving because of their experience. Point is, Chuck didn't take away their ability to breath and walk around.

Sam and dean are not the best hunters they only get lucky with most of the monsters they kill alot of supernaturals they fight have super strength and they get thrown around like ragdolls

Their builds. Being a werewolf and a vamp already makes you extremely strong, but maul looks like he kept buildimg himself up amd kept fighting. Garth gave up the fighting life so he stayed that size and didnt build up his werewolf strength. Above average vamp vs average werewolf = Vamp.

Tbh In alot of other media, Werewolves are typically physically stronger than vampires and vampires tend to use weapons or tactics to defeate werewolves cause a head on confrontation is almost death xD Besides its skinny stopped fighting for years werewolf vs Constantly fighting and getting stronger vampire xD we all knew who would win

Werewolves are naturally stronger then vamps in the supernatural universe, but maul is also an experienced fighter not just a powerful vamp, and garth, well he's just an average werewolf who gave up on his fighting life, so yeah maul only won due to his combat experience and above average vampirism

Agree with you 100%. IMO best part was the tap dancing. I enjoyed Dean's line "just shoot me now: when he was throwing up in the bathroom. I use that line all the time when I get frustrated as work. So when I heard Dean say it -I laughed. Other than those two things The canon busting and character degrading of this episode was just awful. The heaven story -cas, god, angels, jack have destroyed this show.

You guys DO know they explained why this is happening, right? Chuck-God hates them now. So all the stuff they were able to do easily due to Chuck's dealings were taken away. They had to get used to being "normal" since they weren't "heroes in Chuck's Supernatural story" anymore. Chuck giveth and Chuck taketh away...

It really was a bullshit episode. These guys took down special ops squad in Colorado. Maybe if they explained it as Chuck was literally turning them entirely bad luck it would be plausible. But they explained it as they are normal. Yea, bullshit. Take some pride in your characters. Otherwise why would your viewers watch? If it's just the exploits of dues ex machina Chuck giving Sam and Dean outs in everything....
