This was such a insane matchup for Peanut, both players did excellent tho, i will say if Jenghi took more and less risks are certain moments they wouldve most likely gotten the win.

I agree. She gave up 2 stocks in both games. That first one was probably nerves or something. She threw the cross backwards but didn't even move on the return. Even a casual Smash player is gonna punish that regrab. Then she missed the down air spike; tragic. I've been playing Belmont for the past 5 years and I wouldn't dream of going for that. Missing equals a stock. It was hype when it hit but the risk cost her a chance at game 3.

Both players were amazing. Peanut showed amazing patience and didn't panic through the whole game. He just waited and got the stocks. Jenghi did remarkable work walling out Peanut and preventing him from, pretty much, playing the game. Her nerves just got to her, but awesome work!

I know a lot of comments here are gonna try to crap on Jenghi, but she has labbed out a lot of useful Belmont tech and I do suggest following her and looking up a lot of stuff in the Belmont Discord if you're interested in learning the character. I either think nerves or not being too familiar with certain follow ups/confirms is what costed her the match since she had many opportunities where she could've done a short hop angled down Fair or Bair to get easy/early and most importantly, safe Stocks on Peanut after the Descending Holy Water off of ledge. Dair can work too, but as you can see in one instance in the match, is risky to do at times if you don't know the timing well enough of when a character is rising up during the Holy Water flame after they recover.

Jenghi needs to work on her confirms. She had caught peanut in numerous combo starters like side b, holy water and would only follow up with a sour spot tilt or aerial. Im not belmont main but im pretty sure there's way to confirm into nair drag downs, sweet spot up air, up smash or condition into grab.
