This is one of the few times they came so close to a curtain call. There's also some nice symbolism that ALL the characters (including Boss and Rosco) are sort of a family. As antagonistic as Boss Hogg and Sheriff Rosco could be, sometimes they could be part of the happy ending, and it still worked. Despite their corruption, Boss and Rosco are still decent people deep down inside. As funny as the show could be, sometimes it could be so touching. Uncle Jesse is usually good and honorable, but here, he is Christ like.

I also always liked the Three's Company Christmas episode when I was a kid. I still like it. I try to watch an episode here and there but now I'm older and not a kid anymore, some of the episodes are really corny but John Ritter was and will always be hilarious. Norman Fell was great as Mr.Roper also.

I think there's a serious problem, especially in the U.S. where certain Christian denominations are venturing into politics and I don't think that's a good thing. Especially given the current climate of American politics because essentially they are starting to say 'it's okay to hate your political opponents'. True Christian teaching is centered on what was shown in that scene, forgiveness and kindness without reservation. No one showed any resentment at Hogg's appearance, they were genuinely happy to have him there and THAT is what Christ taught.

Eventually, Boss Hogg would discover the plan and every last man would face off in a duel for Hazzard... And the victor would be Santa Claus, probably.

I read "A Christmas Carol". Interestingly enough, Boss Hogg must be an exceptionally fast reader. If he can read A Christmas Carol and wrap all of those gifts before he comes to the Duke farm for Christmas, then he is one fast reader and one fast wrapper. I kind of think that he probably had a few of his things laying around the house and wrapped them up because he didn't have time to go shopping.

I think a Christmas episode of the Dukes of Hazzard would have played out better if they did their version of "A Christmas Carol". Boss Hogg is Scrooge, and his actor could play a dual role as the guy who visits him. Daisy would be Christmas Past, Jesse would be Christmas Present, and Enos would be Christmas Future. That was an obvious solution. I wonder why they never used it.

I Loved this show. As far as the confederate flag is concerned, this show was intended to be a Comedy and the confederate flag, a joke. That's just how some folks were. I had no problem with it. Bring back Dukes of Hazard.

Every Christmas since Iwas little growing up in Foster care Ikept wishing Santa would bring me the 1 thing a kid really wants Parents who are around (I wont go into details of why was in Fostercare. For all of the pinheads at Warner Brothers and the politically correct idiots all over America who have blacklisted The Dukes of Hazzard from TV and all facets of our culture, I ask you all to just watch this scene. For those of you who might not be fans of the show or know what's going on, Boss Hogg/Roscoe and Uncle Jesse/The Dukes were constantly at each others throats 99% of the time. But here at Christmas, they put their differences aside and come together in the spirit and joy of Christmas. Now, if that doesn't teach your children a wonderful lesson of forgiveness and being friends even if you do not see eye to eye, nothing does. But this scene is able to take place because the undercurrent of the entire Dukes of Hazzard TV show was that they were all friends and family on some level, even if they didn't see eye to eye. It was ALWAYS an excellent TV program for kids and entire families. So to call this show racist in any way, simply because of the General Lee, is outrageous, insulting, and offensive to every decent human being whose learned something about life, family, and friendship from the Dukes of Hazzard. Take this show off the blacklisting, and bring them back to TV!!!
