You are honestly my new idol. Your lectures are incredible and clear. Better than any professor I have ever seen, I wish I could attend your lectures.

@ 6.04, the 10/7 A, is that just the current drawn by the 5 Ohm resistor only?
@RahmaElsaeed-cf6ru6 жыл бұрын
I think it is wrong , it should be 2-10/7 because we calculate the current in resistance ( 2 ohm )
@innobeethom80835 жыл бұрын
The first calculation due to current source, the 2 you use to multply the bracket 2*(5/7). The 2 is it for the amps or the 2ohms?
@ChaosxXxToXiC5 жыл бұрын
It's for the amps, it's the current divider rule, the 2 ohms is used in the 7 (2+5)ohm

Why is it when u kill the voltage, the 10 ohm also doesnt count?
@ask4applewho8427 жыл бұрын
because the current briefer to go through the wire with least amount of R
@1GENKILL47 жыл бұрын
Yes the current will follow the path of least resistance. Mathematically this is represented by the fact that the 10 ohm resister is in parallel with the wire (aka a 0 ohm resister). If you use the equation for the equivalent resistance of two resisters in parallel, in this case 10 ohm and 0 ohm resisters, you will get 0.
@yusufp3336 жыл бұрын
Short and Simple: Its because the 10-ohm resistor is in parallel to the source and when we short circuit(kill) the source it becomes zero and the resistance in parallel to it has no where to go hence is negligible. We consider it zero

Im genuinely salty that what you are teaching is much simpler than what im reading in my book
