I am a photographer and I study film and digital single lens reflex cameras. I’ll tell you right now, there is no phone that can ever beat iPhone in terms of camera. iPhone 8 Plus still has a more advanced camera than the Note 9. The Note 9 may look great, but iPhone does capture the more color accurate image. In daytime situations, iPhone will capture more detail and better colors than any other camera. It’s really evident when you compare daytime photos. Remember, iPhone is the one that consistently introduces new camera features every year. Portrait mode was first on iPhone. 4k60 was first and still the best on iPhone. In low light situations, you can get the better image on iPhone, but you will need a third party app. This is why everyone thinks iPhone is behind, it doesn’t have low light captures in the native app because it’s exclusive to third party apps. iPhone is the phone for developers so Apple left it up to devs to create great third party for manual controls and other features. You will use those apps if you want to take your photography game to the next level. But as an average consumer, the native app is suffice. It’s geared for daytime situations. And it’s closest to a DSLR than any other smartphone camera. DxO mark will only misinform you because they don’t judge a camera’s capabilities. They rate based on the native app’s set of features, software abilities. Not the actual quality of the images/ videos. And they don’t take viewfinder accuracy, UI, UX, reliability, recording duration, and more into consideration. They don’t take enough into consideration to accurately judge smartphone cameras yet. If they did have the proper subcategories, iPhone would have the highest rated camera. Even beating the P20 Pro.

kinda sad to see what happening to Apple..they used to be all about leading the industry at innovation and they were so far ahead of anyone else..since Jobs got sick and died Apple has turned into a company that puts profits above innovation and they're now starting to lag behind..just look at the new Mac books..the last couple perform MUCH worse than previous versions so they're charging u more $ for a weaker updated version and their phones are also now starting to lose their attraction with innovation..alot of customers that would even consider leaving Apple, like i finally did, are almost held hostage cuz they're so locked in and heavily invested into Apple's system with apps and music and they don't make it easy for people to leave..i hate when companies trap u into their product cuz ur glued to their services that are attached along with it..iPhone's are still great no doubt but they are %100 starting to fall behind in various areas of technology..who wants to buy a phone for $1k+ then be told what apps u can or can't use, be stuck with apps on ur home screen u don't want, have to pay TONS of extra $ for things like fast charging (free with Samsung), be stuck with a phone with limited storage that's not expandable etc etc.. simple choice for me nowadays..

Hands down: Note 9. SuperSaf makes it pretty clear here. You just get so much more with this awesome Samsung product. And the S-Pen is a game changer with what it can do. Currently a iPhone user. I have the 7 plus. Wanted to get the Note 7 but the batteries was blowing up so I decided to get the 7 plus. Due for a upgrade now and I’m leaning to going back to the Note series. I loved my note 3 but due to difficulties of the battery I made the switch to Apple. I’m still in the air because I’m very invested in Apple right now with music and other things but still considering making the leap back to N9. Thanks for the review.

Well if you go back to the first iPhone and android, android were just going to make another blackberry copy but as soon as the iPhone released they changed the design taking many of the elements from the iPhone and poorly implementing them into their new android phone

Actually it was in 2007, face id was in the development phase in Apple long before Samsung had it and if you don't believe me look at the patents. Apple's Face id is much more secure than anything Samsung can come up with and Apple does not sell user's data to other companies because they need more money as very few people are buying their phones. And the reason the iPhones are more expensive than anything Samsung makes is because the iPhones are made from more premium materials (stainless steel vs aluminium), they also pioneer the future in terms of setting trends for years to come and also for the brand because everyone knows Apple is the best.

It is a much cleaner experience and doesn't slow down like touchwiz does. I prefer something like Cyanogenmod or OxygenOS which is basically Stock with a ton of customization options Edit: And stock or close to stock UIs always get software updates months or even a year before touchwiz

slamandjam2 when you say cleaner, do you mean that it doesn't come with bloatware apps that Samsung does? I've never really cared for getting those new is updates immediately because they slow phones down and because TouchWiz tends to have most of the features included in new os's for example, using split screen was a feature of Android Oreo but Samsung had it since Android lollipop which was 3 years before it. I did however like how Android O makes it easier to multitask when videos are playing as well as using Google maps.

Hudson Criston Because Android and ios use two different computing systems. Ios uses Vulkan and android uses opengl, which is completly unfair comperasion. If you want to see a real comperasion, look up note 9 vs iphone x, then you be the judge of what you see.

Having had the Galaxy note 4 before I purchased my iPhone 7plus I knew when the time came round to upgrade (which is now) I’d be very much on the fence as to which device I’d like to get next, I had wanted to stay with Apple and purchase the iPhone X as I was very much impressed with the 7plus I’ve had for the past two years, however I knew I really liked the Samsung note 4 I had prior to the iPhone 7plus so thought I’d give a quick look into the new note 9, and I after seeing this video the iPhone X is no longer an option for I as the new Note 9 just obliterates the iPhone X in features (and personally the note 9 looks much nicer). Thanks Saf for the great video this has definitely changed my mind, I’m actually going out tomorrow to purchase the note 9 now and are glad I decided to have a look into the note 9 before being too narrow minded and purchasing the iPhone X, needless to say the iPhone X is a brilliant phone and I am very impressed with my experience using Apple however this time round it just appears that the new Note 9 has the edge over iPhone. Thanks I’ve been subscribed for many years now lol and as always it’s these videos that help make the decisions much easier !

Unfortunately for the iPhone, reviewers mostly speak of the specs which the iPhone almost always loses.. but size rarely matters most to people. The average consumer doesn’t care about RAM size, pixel density, or 1terabyte of storage (who needs that much storage on their phone, and why would u pay $250 more when you could pay $5 for cloud storage). At the end of the day, the Apple ecosystem is so much better than any android phone has because it comes directly from Apple. Reviewers just always chalk it to as “well, it’s your preference” and it goes down as a tie when in reality it’s not even close.

For all of you people who say the Note costs more: Note 9 512 GB for $1250 128 GB for $1000 iPhone X 64 GB for $1000 256 GB for $1150 So the Note 9 actually cost less for what it gives. As usual, with Apple, you pay more for less. Edit: So stop comparing the prices and saying the Note is $1250 and the X only $1000. You're comparing the 512 GB version with the 64 GB version.
