I completely agree with Jerry 03:07 ! Changing phones every 3-4 years strikes the perfect balance between staying updated and getting the most value out of your device. Yearly upgrades just don’t make sense for most people-tech improvements aren’t that significant. When I change I go for a flagship like the iPhone 16 Pro, Galaxy Ultra, or Pixel Pro. Reliability, warranty, and brand reputation are key when you’re committing to a phone for several years. Sure, there are “gaming phones” and Chinese brands with even better specs, and I’m glad there are, but for me, in the long run, they are still a gamble.

Agree with everything you said except that Chinese brands are not reliable. You have a bias against Chinese tech reinforced by cheap bullshit that isn't relevant to the high end tech market. There are plenty of people with phones from OnePlus and other Chinese brands who have had their phones 4 and even 5+ years in the case of the OnePlus 7 Pro and still going strong.

use what suits you, I had iPhone and paired it with an Apple Watch for my gym training with mates, switched to s24 ultra and then found myself considerably slacking in gym without the competition with mates on Apple Watch, now phone alone s24 sh*ts on iPhone but I needed that gym comp back, so went back to iPhone for Apple Watch and since then my training has shot back up which has ended up making me way happier as a person again… moral of story… pick the phone that suits YOUR own personal needs and don’t overthink because end of the day… it’s just a phone and they all do the same job ultimately and no matter what you do have, there will always be a better one on the market in a few months time

I’m using iPhone 16 Pro Max, didn’t planned to upgrade from 13 Pro but i like the big screen and my 13 Pro was due for a new battery anyway. For Android side i’m still using my trusty OnePlus 7 Pro, just upgraded last week with last Lineage ROM. I’m dreaming about a Redmagic 10 Pro+ or a folding one to replace my OP but it’s not a priority at the moment.
