4 years ago, I bought 4 javascript courses (backend, frontend and programming) to study the language... I spent my last savings. It took me 6 months (without job, as a father of 2 little children, my wife worked as a bartender all the day), but I got my frist job as a Frontend developer. Now I am a senior, I have a stable job and a very good position. If you can, take this course... learn a lot, make all exercises, practice a lot, resolve of problems you can. It takes time, but it's worth it. I am from Mexico... a poor country with less opportunities than yours. Think about it. Never let your dreams go away. Everything is possible making more effort than the others. Bless you!

Hey Simon, I hope you will read this. I am 18, and about a year ago, I got my first job working at McDonald's. That's when I realized how unforgiving the world can be when it comes to making money. I felt so hopeless at that time. I knew I could never reach my financial goals with that job, so I started looking for something better and decided to learn to become a software engineer. Even though I had school and worked 20-25 hours a week at McDonald's (to save up for a laptop), I used my free time to watch your videos and learn HTML and CSS. Today, I finished your JavaScript course, doing all the exercises. Despite the fact that I am working harder than ever before, I feel more satisfied with my future, and you are a big part of that. I know I still have a lot to learn, but I’ve started enjoying the process of learning and improving-something that school never gave me. You are a great teacher, and I hope you will read this comment. Thank you for everything.

This is by far the best video I have ever seen about coding. I am a software engineer. I was trying to find a video to share with someone interested in starting and this guy, not only show you how to write code, but also the logic behind and why they are certain conventions. I remember when I learned these concepts and teachers from my university made it horribly confusing. On top of that, he keeps repeating, "in companies they usually...." so you are learning the logic you are gonna keep but also immersing yourself in real development environments. Plus: all the documentation and details. I've always repeated, you do not need to go to the university to learn how to code. If you are reading this comment because you are inst rested. Take the 22 hours from the course and the extra time to complete the exercises or at least to check the answers. There's plenty of work out there, and they are NOT going to ask for a diploma. Good luck and enjoy the journey, we (because if you are here you already are my friend) programmers, we rule the world ❤😎

Because of this tutorial, I was able to secure a very good job at a prominent tech company in my hometown. have watched tons of other youtube videos in my life so far. But I have never seen anything quite like this. I was so impressed by the way Simon glides from one point to another that I couldn't help at least paying you a genuine compliment as a mark of respect. Your teaching strategy is undoubtedly a tough act to follow for even a veteran youtuber with a billion subscribers. Each step that you walk us through is impressively programmatic and perfect. It also reflects how much patience you exercise with your students as a very good teacher. I am your fan for the rest of my life.

Hey there, I've been a close fan since you first dropped the remake of html and css tutorial, 2 years ago. I was one of the first comments. It's amazing to see how much audience you got in the meantime. Because of your tutorial on html and css I landed my first Wordpress job, and now I just got a junior role at Adobe as a front-end developer. It's amazing to look back at these tutorials and check out other opinions, other solving techniques. As we all know, it's possible to tackle JS in more methods, and even though I know everything from this course, I still watched it completely just to bring back the memories from where I was just starting out. I can't wait to have a community membership available, maybe even create a Discord for your community, I could help out with that. Kudos to you and I hope to see more videos from your side, where you talk more about your career, your day-to-day life, it would be amazing to see and I'm sure that if you're comfortable with doing that, you'd evolve so quick! Kudos again, I wish the best to you.

I'm 11 hours in and what I really like about this course is the pacing. Even the simple steps like open folders and copying files it happens at the same steady pace, so unlike some courses that speed up and slow down depending on the task I don't get flustered and can maintain my focus. Because the pace is kept constant, what varies is the difficulty of the tasks themselves, so the simple admin tasks become like little mental breaks, and you also learn good file management best practice at the same time.

Thank you for these tutorials, I am halfway through your HTML & CSS course right now, and I am learning more than I've ever learned and I've actually bought books on programming, bough Udemy courses, and tried many other KZbin channels - yours is the best at explaining! And you do this for free and offer certificates! I really appreciate the pace you teach at and you always take a lot of time to explain concepts. I wish there was a way to five you 5 stars or an awesome review! Thank you so much! When I land a software development job, it's because of your channel!

Is your course done? How was it
@djlclopez1287 ай бұрын
@@ErenMC_ No I'm not finished just yet with the HTML/CSS course. But I've already built a simple website on the internet after just 3 hours of learning the course - he also has a wonderful 28 minute course on making a live website through Githib pages. It was so easy because his explanations are very thorough. He even breaks down how the internet works and servers with easy to understand graphics. I actually feel very confident that I can be a software developer because of his classes. And if you really wanted to, he offers certificates on his website for $33. Not too bad, really.
