They Live is actually a really awesome movie, it's one of those horror films that also pulpy enough that you can watch it any time and enjoy it. Caravan Palace is super cool, when they came through Texas I wanted to give them a gift (I had a bunch of old 78s of American covers of French songs) but they weren't able to stick around. I gave it to one of their roadies to pass along to them, but I never heard back from them/saw them talk about it at all. I hope they got it, aha. You excited for the new animated video coming out soon?

I only learned about They Live from all the references in Saints Row 4. 😅 I should watch it sometime! Caravan Palace is pretty fantastic in that not only do they make amazing music, they seem to really appreciate and want to connect with their fan base. (Which is great, because let's face it, us electroswing people can be a bunch of weirdos. 😂)

@@JazzandTea Oh yeah, they seem like great people who genuinely want to get past the language barriers to connect with all their fans. I am not huge into the electro swing scene, but I do some high end security work (among other things) so I hear a lot about celebrities and if they get into anything... I never hear any shit about Caravan Palace. It seems anyone who's worked with them has wonderful things to say about the band. It helps that their live shows are incredible, too. They're all crazy talented. I remember seeing Zoe's SoundCloud where she mixed a bunch of American hip-hop songs (since it's a huge influence on the band) and my ears perked up when I heard Shabazz Palaces. Really great hip hop duo, Zoe sampled their album Black Up, one of the best indie hip hop albums that dropped in the 2010s.
