Two things I love about this: 1. Anytime I see Luigi have chemistry either friendship-wise or romantic-wise with another character in this franchise because he deserves a lot. Although yellow roses signify friendship, it’s still really cute how he gave that to Luigi specifically and said that it goes well with his green (plus, they literally just met anyways at the time). 2. I love how Prince Peasly and Queen Bean seem to be actual competent royalty that aren’t just pompous all the time. Sure, Prince Peasly needed to be rescued a couple times but he had already done quite a bit on the sidelines too.

When I was a kid, watching the play throughs of this game(I couldn’t buy them because I was born out of that era of gaming) I kind of assumed Prince Peasley was female and that they were setting something up between him and Luigi. And then when I realized that Prince Peasley was a man, I was like “So it’s Prince Peasley and Luigi, not Princess Peasley and Luigi,” and was completely ok with that. Then when I continued to grow up, I also found out that a lot of lines were cut out and added in by English localization such as erasing the fact that Vivian is trans. Makes me wonder if there was something like that happening with potential Prince Peasley x Luigi dialogue🤔. I’m also wondering if Princess Daisy only exists so people will ship Luigi with her more than Prince Peasley🤔🤔🤔

You would be correct :( I’ve tried looking around before, but he doesn’t seem to have his voice actor recorded anywhere. I believe this goes for most original characters in the M&L games, especially the older ones, as iirc Fawful’s VA was just barely found, but otherwise no one else’s. It’s kind of a shame, considering if he ever comes back by this point, they can no longer reuse his two low-quality voice clips, causing them to not want to go through the effort of getting him a brand new voice.

UPDATE: Recently I checked Peasley’s page on the Mario wiki again, and he actually did have a voice actor mentioned! I forget his name since I’m writing this on the spot, but he appeared to be credited for some art and animation for the M&L games as well. However, I couldn’t find the actual source they used to confirm this was the case, so for now it’s safe to say that while it is likely to be correct, it’s still a rumour.
