This is exactly what the MITB was created. In 2005 creative had nothing for Jericho, Christian, Benoit, Edge, Kane, and Benjamin. So, they made the MITB match as a way to get people on the WrestleMania card without having a story. They should either bring the MITB match back to WrestleMania or Host the king of the ring tournament in the build up to WrestleMania and have the finals of the king of the ring happen at WrestleMania. I have a strong hunch, that it is gonna be Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill vs The Kabuki Warriors for the tag titles. WWE also might wanna consider a new mid card single's titles for both the men's and women's divisions, as it looks like Gunther and Logan Paul will be holding on to their title's for a while past WM40. Also, Bron Breakker will probably win the Andre the giant memorial battle royal.

They could make the tournament like the G1 climax in NJPW. I just think that with 2 nights of WrestleMania, they could have 2 MITB matches with one on each night. Which would allow for 8 to 10 guys to get on the WrestleMania card without needing a proper story. I know the MITB PPV/PLE is super successful. But, they can make another event just as successful, if they want it to be successful.

Theory and Waller could maybe make it into the tag team ladder match. I think it's too short of time for them to build a story that leads into them fighting, but if they are in the tag team match, then they could use that as a instance of Waller yet again failing to help Theory and that could start the story of their break up and blow off match at SummerSlam. With the whole Summer thing and the beach vibe of summer (even though SS isn't taking place in a location famous for beaches), I could see Waller get a WM style beach themed entrance. Anything else and he's not making it to WM.

I think this time 3 weeks ago the plan would have been Bianca vs Tiffany. There were a lot of interactions between them starting at the Rumble with the braid elimination, then Tiffany stepping up to Bianca on SD debut, then slapping her in the face during the Liv match, then beefing at the RAW promo and at the Elimination Press Event, you could say Tiffany was a Charlotte replacement, and they were setting things up for that match. However, it has notably cooled off since the Elimination Chamber, no interactions on the past 2 SDs, and they may well have pivoted. Whether they don't want to risk Bianca being booed when there will be a large international contingent in the crowd, or whether they no longer want Tiffany to lose her debut Mania, I'm not sure, but it does seem like plans may have changed. Mind, these wins Tiffany is getting, while no obvious direction, is at least building up an undefeated streak, 5-0 on SD - she called herself 'Ms Undefeated' last week, and the WWE were saying 'Tiffany remains undefeated' in their highlights vs Michin, so I guess the undefeated WM streak vs undefeated singles streak is still on the table, but they are hardly committing to it. Tiffany did do an interview with GP podcast today saying she was hoping to face Bianca, and Bianca has twice mentioned wanting a singles match at Mania where they is no title on the line, as it basically never happens for the women, so there is still hope, but they need to get something going on Friday, if they were still the plans. Bianca will 100% be on the card, like not a chance she will miss out. I don't see her vs Jade, or 1-1 against anyone other than Tiffany, but the promo with Naomi last week keeps her options open for either a tag match with the Kabuki's, or a 3-3 match if you insert Jade and Kai into the mix. I also wouldn't totally rule out Tiffany teaming up with Naomi and Bianca to face DCTRL, and be the reluctant tweener. Perhaps they could initially have Bianca, Naomi and Michin vs them, but DCTRL take out Michin on the SD before, and Tiffany is a shock late replacement coming out to a big surprise pop. Bianca will certainly be on, and rightly so, and we should find out her direction this Friday. I do feel Tiffany should be on as well, as she has been so prominently featured since the Rumble, probably had more matches than anyone since, but at this stage of her career, clearly ins't guaranteed a spot, but fingers crossed.

Honestly I was fully prepared for Tiffany vs Bianca because that’s what it was leading up to, but I also noticed too they cooled off on the story. Honestly, I’m still for it. It’s too early for Bianca vs Jade, that needs a proper build and long term rivalry for next years mania. Bianca vs Tiffany would be good as they’re a clash of similar styles, Bianca also has the WM streak which I’m sure WWE wants to keep going since she’s one of the most marketable people in the company rn, a loss for Tiffany at Mania would still put her over especially if the match itself is great, which I have no doubts about anyway.

@Mmaattyyk yeah, I guess on the other hand, Bianca was 32 when making her Wrestlemania match debut whereas Tiffany will still be 24, so in theory she could be 11-0, not 3-0, at Mania, if they wanted her to be, by the time she is Bianca's age now, and end up with a streak more in line with the Undertaker, not one that will likely end next year anyway. They must make it believable that Tiffany could actually win, and that the future is now, even if she ultimately doesn't. That said, she was one of the first eliminated in the EC and that did her no harm at all, it was actually the making of her in the eyes of the main roster, so a defeat in a very competitive 12-15 min potentially fantastic match wouldn't harm Tiff at all, but I just hope they are not backtracking as they now dont want either to lose. Tiffany needs Bianca far more than the other way round, and I'm still hoping it happens as I'm not sure she gets on the card without it, plus it would be cool to have an extremely rare and anticipated women singles non title match at Mania, but they really do need to start interacting again if they do still intend to make the match.

Andrade: If Bad Bunny is available to reach his one match per year quota, maybe him and Andrade versus Dom and JD. Other than that, regulated to the battle royal. Austin could qualify with Waller for the Ladder Match for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship. Gable will probably worm his way into the IC Title match whether Imperium just injure Zayn and Gable takes his spot or Gable gets inserted for the mere fact his shoulders weren’t down. Bron Breakker: Most likely the battle royal and probably will win it. Nakamura: Had Okada not signed with AEW, I could’ve saw Nakamura possibly facing him at WrestleMania to give Okada someone he’s familiar with for his first WWE match, but now, Nakamura will be going to the battle royal. From moment it was in Philly, I thought the WM showcase will be an Extreme Rules brawl between 6-8 superstars, as an ode to ECW. I feel that's still a possibility imo, to inject Bronn Breaker, Shinsuke, Ivar, Ricochet, Bronson, Waller, Theory and a surprise entrant with Sheamus maybe. bronn Breaker winning that ECW match could also solidify the Paul Heyman guy tag further, maybe Heyman handing a trophy or something. If not, that boring Lashley vs Kross faction feud needs to be an Extreme Rules, so we do get a finish instead of another DQ.

Hear me out here, instead of doing tag team showcases this year, why not do a gauntlet match on each night? One for the men, and one for the women. Give us several superstars with the winner getting to challenge for a championship at a future show (maybe even the Raw/Smackdown after Mania). You could make them brand specific title shots as well, where if the winner is on Raw, they challenge for a Raw title and if they are on Smackdown, well, you get the picture. If you are to do that then my picks for the winners would be Chad Gable and Tiffany Stratton if they don't have matches by then. That way you can have Chad vs Gunther on the Raw after Wrestlemania and have Chad win, it protects Gunther slightly because of the match the night before and it gives Chad that massive win. Tiffany could challenge Bayley on the Smackdown. If you do that you could even go so far as to have Tiffany win the title after Damage Ctrl costs Bayley the title in revenge for her beating Iyo. It does make Bailey's reign very short, but it will add further drama and intrigue to the Damage Ctrl storyline and heat it up even further heading into Backlash in France (Europe loves Bayley, so it makes a lot of sense to have her on the card there). If WWE wanted, they could even sponsor the matches by WWE 2K24 as a further means of promoting the game with the tie-in to the new Gauntlet match.

Okay so, they confirmed that for the tag team qualifiers that for Alpha Academy, it’s Otis and Tozawa. So what I am thinking, and hoping for, is that it’s a triple threat match, Gabe vs. Zayn vs. Gunther. I think for the US title maybe they make it a multi-man ladder match? I know that makes 2 different ladder matches, but I don’t know I just think it might help? Maybe tag titles night one US title night 2? I don’t know, maybe that’s just hoping too much. But I can’t complain too much honestly, I wanted Cody, we got Cody, we’re getting a lot of things we want, I don’t want to be ungrateful for what we are getting and focusing on what we’re not, but I can’t help but feel terrible for Gable and just want him to win a singles title.

Naomi & Bianca's path to WM could go through Damage Ctrl/Bayley. Naomi tries to help Bayley --> It's not enough to repel Damage Ctrl -> Jade comes in to help (she did appear on SD staring down Iyo a week back) -> Bianca gets madder, turn heel and attack em, setting up Jade vs Bianca -> Naomi Runs interference in favor of Bayley and Jade during WM. This is not much of a stretch for wrestling.

I was thinking now that Gable did lose Sami Zayn in the gauntlet match. If they don't do an angle with Gable getting in and making it a triple threat. I can see Shinsuke Nakamura going over Gable for the same reasons he did for Sami Zayn, hell he could be more personal about it and dig deep talking about Gable's daughter. I think Gable and Nakamura can make a killer match together.

Bianca and Naomi are going to play a role in Bailey’s storyline and I have a suspicion they’re going to bring in an extra team member(Mercedes Mone?) to take on Damage Control. Shades of SummerSlam here. Bianca is on the cover of 2K24, she is not getting left off. I don’t think it was accidental that Bianca named dropped Sasha Banks doing the Wrestlemania kick off . They missed the boat with Rhea v Bianca, because there is really no heat for Becky Lynch.
