SuperTed | Full Theme Tune | Children's BBC | 1983 to 1985

#randomdalek presents the theme tune of the classic 1980s Children's BBC cartoon series SuperTed.
The fictional anthropomorphic bear character created by Welsh writer and animator Mike Young. Originally created by Young as a series of stories to help his son overcome his fear of the dark, SuperTed became a popular series of books and led to an animated series produced from 1983 to 1985.
An American-produced series, The Further Adventures Of SuperTed, was created by Hanna-Barbera in 1989.
A modern reboot of SuperTed is currently being developed by Young.

I'm lucky enough to have been childhood-witness to an audience that was blessed with a live orchestra performing this piece at the end of the theatrical stage show. It's a beautiful piece, and I wish I could witness it again now that I'm old enough to truly appreciate the musicianship involved!

I used to watch this 1980s British cartoon when I was a kid. It was shown on the BBC as a part of their children's block CBBC and now-defunct TCC (The Children's Channel) years ago. It was also shown on RTÉ 1, RTÉ 2 and TG4 (formerly known as TnaG) where it was dubbed into the Irish language years ago.

I use to hear this song on Children's BBC Soundtrack CD back in my childhood in the 90s when I was Little Hallingbury Primary School kid age. Small boy age. We've still got the disc with us today.
