I got loaded with some rolled Roofing. My door on my tool box on the trailer broke. I had to do a quick repair.

It's still amazing how clear that microphone is without picking up the background noises.

Greetings Dan... I started using neoprene cage nuts & then use a few drops of crazy glue. I often deliver to somewhat remote construction camps and drive 60-100 miles on unpaved roads where even my dentures vibrate loose. 👍. Stay safe, don't die.

Thanks Dan for the video. Admire your ability to correct a problem. To eliminate the lock washer, you could try Nyloc or Nylocks...I don’t know how it is spelled. Take care.

Yes, always used nyloc nuts on the race car, should be good enough for a big truck.

If you run across an ACE hardware or True Value hardware, you should be able to buy bolt & washers individually. I would use the external Star washers on that and Nylon nuts, cause they stay tight.

Dan, your not CHEEP!!! Your cost concerned about maximizing your profits!!! Lmao. Maybe you should go to harbor freight and get some of the clamp lights so just in case your out and something goes wrong you have light. I know you may have the lights like I do that clamp on the bill of a hat or a headband type but it’s best to flood an area with light I feel.

Put a Pop Rivet tool into your kit. Shove the Rivet thru the hole, add a washer on the other side (spreads load) and POP it. Rivets come in Aluminum and Steel. The tool and a plastic box of assorted rivets is smaller than that drill. Consumer grade tool sizes are small: 3/16 down, still way handy

On those bolts and nuts. When you don't have lock washers. I just find clear package wrapper from anything. Stick a small piece on the bolt. Then tighten the nut on that, and it will act like thread locker.

Get a Ryobi drill and a two pack of 4 Ah batteries at Home Depot and you'll never want to go back to using a corded drill. I can't remember the last time I used a corded drill, but it has to be decades ago.

I thought I was gonna be proud of ya with only two back-ups to the door, but NO, took three LOL.......I'm too cheap to buy cord-less stuff too, so you are not the only one. For one thing, battery replacements are almost expensive as the tool itself.. What no lock washers? Then why not Loctite? Also, it might pay you to get a multiple plug adapter for the end of your cord, then you could also plug in a "drop light" along with your drill and one other powered gadget, then the dark would not matter as much and could come in handy with the short days of winter approaching. . I'd of also got flat head screws, but that is just me, plus you might not have a big enough drill with you to make a countersink for the screw. But if your repair works, that is really all that counts.. No one sees them but you anyway. /// What is funny, the load that you hauling looks like it could be hauled better in a dry van but I'm only on the inside looking out LOL....

my version of the repair would be with pop rivets.....the little popper is cheap, the rivets come in different diiameters and a choice of steel, aluminum, stainless, etc....good strength and no nuts to fall off.

Call it "old school" not cheap, battery stuff-if you use it enough- is fine, but you drive for a living and hopefully a roadside repair is an exception, not constant. Put a drop of blue locktite on the bolt threads and drive!

Hey did you see my question on tarpping? Let’s say you have a Saratoga Trailer. So all you haul will be covered correct? So do you charge everyone a covered load price? You said last posting if they don’t pay they don’t get tarped. How does that work? Thanks Dan
