I had a rock chip hole in a sealed beam halogen headlight once, it started filling up with water little by little. Once the water hit the inner bulb it finally went out. Took a couple of years as I recall.

Any reason you all seem to spec double drive units in America when you mostly don’t need them ? Here in Scotland if we need traction (on forestry work) we buy 6x2 units with rear lift axles (tag axles) better on fuel too.

On a long wait, do you lose time on your 14 hour shift or do you know something?

Once you start your clock the 14 hours start there is no stopping the 14 hour clock. Now you can split your sleeper birth time and that will give you a little more time but eventually it will catch up with you
