Hello everyone! I hope your week has been great so far!💕

This video is about supervision watercolors. The set was gifted to me, but everything I say in this video is my own honest opinion. The links to the set are not affiliated.

Is this watercolor professional? Does it have lightfast? I thought the set was beautiful, but I found it for a very expensive price. I wonder if it is professional level or not, as I can't find much information about it. Do you know if this wooden palette also supports other traditional pans like Van Gogh's? I loved the video!!!

They are supposed to be professional, but I found out that the quality is not consistent and the names and codes are a mess, some colors have the same name, and are badly translated, some have the same name but different codes. That’s hard if you need to rebuy a color. 🥲 Also some colors are very lightfast some aren’t. The paints are supposed to be pure without fillers, but if that’s really the case I find that the quality of the pigments seems to be on the cheaper side. Unfortunately it’s hard to find information. The wood case is amazing but unfortunately I don’t have any Van Gogh watercolor pans, I find that every brand has slightly different sizes, these are on the larger side like the schmincke ones, so it would probably fit most pans but not all of them would fit snugly into the palette! If I remember correctly, I read or heard somewhere that companies do not have to write down that they have included PW6 in their pigment list as it is sometimes used as a filler and there isn't really a legal requirement for it. Im about to go down a rabbit hole to find where I learnt this now, LOL

Yeah probably they are not required to write them at all because a lot of paints don’t have the pigment listed on them 💔 I think you’re right about the fact that they used it as a filler in that color because the color is not particularly lighter just feels as if there is some white in it!🤔

I think Lukas studio watercolors are really good! I still like them a lot as they feel like artist grade watercolors! I wasn’t able to find anyone that sells the pan individually tho! That’s such a bummer 💔💔 So as the color run out you could buy the Lukas 1862 version! But they are more expensive 💔One thing I’ve noticed is that Lukas watercolor in pan format are different from the tube version. The ones sold in pans flow much better in water. The tube version is more vibrant, you can feel that there is less filler in them, but they don’t flow as well! I don’t know why!🤔🤔

I am in a painful research of watercolor pan sets because I want to get a lil more serious with the watercolor medium, I thought the Lukas' set was like the ONE but if it's not open stock, it takes me back to the endless search qwq.... Pardon my boldness but do you have recommendations for a good watercolor pan set that is refillable? (also with some preference above 12 and with a cyan blue or somewhat?) 👉👈 I think I really need an opinion... As long as it doesn't take much of your time really! 🤧

So far it doesn’t feel like it absorbs water much, they probably put on some sort of varnish 🤔 I mean they make houses out of wood it’s probably resistant enough 🤣

Only time will tell how well it’s going to last 🤣 but it looks quite resistant because it’s carved in one block!

A pretty girl’s face, wasn’t expecting that! …yes, that’s sarcasm. Although I’m sick of the theme (I think the ‘20s will be remembered by the profusion of bland pretty girls portraits painted in watercolor) you certainly are a master of it. I hope I’m not sounding rude, it’s just the theme is literally everywhere, to the point I’d prefer it would be “ugly girls”, “old women” or even “rubber ducks”. Anyway you have a great talent, which obviously you already know, I just hope next time it won’t be a pretty girl’s face.

@@weronoyume what about something disgusting, ugly, unexpected, shocking, disturbing, uncomfortable or just weird? But I know, it’s difficult to scape the “pretty face curse”
