States don't require taxes for financing. State deficits aren't the debts of tax payers because this isn't money that's supposed to be paid back. In theory, states can run without any taxes at all. The purpose of taxation is different: it's about setting the right incentives, control of the economy, opposing wealth inequality that inevitably emerges in capitalism.

Love how these security guards act like police. With officer written on their vest . I'm sure they don't have arrest powers. Only being able to detain someone and hold you until the real "criminals" ummm I mean police show up that's all. I hate how they misrepresent themselves like this

Your commentary on this is some brilliant and good stuff, it’s some of the most important commentary people need to hear. I hope Matt watches this. Public employees hate us because they don’t understand us and most are unwilling to try to understand, but they would be wise to try and stop with the false and insulting narrative that we are “just trying to get a rise out of them to file a suit.” (By “we” I mean any member of the public that pulls out a camera while interacting with public servants.)

agree 100%...he doesn't see the problem and that is part of the problem. Dismissing it away as people having a 'bad day' is really missing the mark. Its not complicated. These people simply do not know the law or the scope of their power and its so easy to just train them. That judge should have simply said 'i will sit down with those two and explain what they did wrong and how to improve and why they were wrong. If their ego's cant handle that they need another job. Havent we all had bosses set us straight now and then?

Yup, that is absolutely true! If he was a cop on patrol, he would fall into a category is police I describe with: “He’d be the kind of bad COP that will put good OFFICERS in harms way and get them injured or killed. He the kind of bad COP that turns good OFFICERS into bad cops!” (Most people will notice the difference between “cop” and “officer”, I make a real effort to make that point; the difference…. at first seeing/meeting law enforcement, I will use the term “officer”. As soon as they show ANY of the qualities that make up a “cop”… that’s it, I will NEVER refer to them as an officer again!!

I think this video will show both workers that public employees made mistakes, lets just be happy that these mistakes didnt cause the tax payers to cover it 😂. Deffinately a followup audit is needed in a year or so. Fingers crossed they have learnt and by then this auditor who is amazing atm will be even more confident in these situations and wont stumble over their words when met with a legit good worker a.k.a the judge, so their point (the peoples point) is given with more of that conviction we watch these vids for

Spot on. It's scary as hell really but it's evident that that's the case in most departments. So many ignorant and unintelligent people with no communication or people skills granted too much discretion and authority and plenty of them have been on the job way too long. 10,15,20+ years. Just think, how many lives have they ruined? Have many rights have been violated? How much money has been stolen, wasted and misused ? It's pure insanity.
