It's a rear load truck for hard waste collection, but they are fitted with bin lifters for the large commercial waste bins. That's my truck. It was used in an InStitchu suit advertising campaign, and is soon to appear in the advertising of season 6 Australian Ninja warrior, as well as this skit. The back tread plate is a favorite old school feature. Side loaders are impersonal for filming. Sydney's councils all use sideloaders for weekly collection.
