SomeNiceMovies no, actually, you can pitch the vocals on its own, except it sounds like crap, cuz the vocals would be in a different key to the instrumental, so unless you get incredible lucky, and the original chord progression works well with the newly pitched acapella, it would sound terrible..

V.I.R.U.S KnightKore You can not just "pitch" the vocals in any program I have EVER seen nor even heard of. Unless you have the individual track you can't pick out the voice, unless you have an acapella already in which case you can remove the instrumental and then you can seperate and then get it done with a pretty good quality. If you pitch +12 exactly (+12 as in going to more Hz therefore getting a more "female" voice), you will be in the same pitch just an octave higher, so if you have an acapella version and an instrumental version it's actually pretty easy. Though digitally doing this often ruin some of the voice quality, it's quite tricky to do stuff like that without losing it.

yeah, this is what i meant, even if u dont originally start with 2 tracks, you can isolate the acapella, and then pitch that, if u then just pitch it 12 semitones, it goes 1 octave, and the vocal wouldn't sound female, but it sounds almost chipmunk.

sketchturner88 I actually think the male version fit better. It had a warmer tone to it. I could be a little biased due to the slight breaky in harmony throughout the track. The pitching was done well (shoutouts to OP) but not perfect (hardly possible without seperate track of the singer). But ultimately i was moved by the male version more. I think it is up to taste by a good degree though.

sketchturner88 It's up to your own opinion I suppose. The original singer has a very delicate and soft voice. It goes well with the music if you ask me. A female singer doesn't seem to be completely necessary.

Gleidur Thing is, is that this song is actually the original singer but toned in such a way that it is coming across as female. It certainly had me fooled, as embarrassed as I may be admitting to this.

That is an excellent work, it is so hard to filter a male voice to sound like a women, very different sets of sounds..... The voice is excellent, but the music suffers from the frequency shifts, when you try to rip off the baselines, when the voice frequency coinsided with the music.... it is hard, but you did great...

I really like most of it but some of the instruments dont sound right with their pitch raised. The first one that stuck out was the violin and the cello a bit after 2:00. I do appreciate the effort though! I'm sure someone will cover it soon enough
