GOD I love Gene... Heard on Base an Smith on drums...WOW I had been listening to him on my dads vinyl for a few years already when this was recorded in 1981..I turned 18 that year...you always make me happy every time I listen

The intensity does go down somewhat in part two - but then it's hard to imagine how a bass solo could have kept that incredible momentum going.
