To quicky summarize the main reasons: 1) it's not "worth it" for me to participate anymore, it's just too much anxiety, too much work for too much risk, 2) I've won enough times, it's not like I have "something left to prove", and I don't want to discourage others to participate and make them feel like they don't have a shot 3) I felt like by continuing to participate I would be devaluing the contest in other people's eyes because so many people on Reddit would always say "it's rigged, the same guy always wins" or "time for Max to pick up his yearly check", 4) I don't have that much of an interest in Dota anymore, I've had enough of "just one more match" competitive team-based games that do too little to curb toxicity, and that are powered by FOMO battle pass monetization. I still help people here and there who come to me with questions, but I don't intend to submit another entry for the foreseeable future
