It is with great sadness that we put forward this appeal for Mozambique Horse Safari. As you may have heard, recent protests in Mozambique, sparked by disputed election results, turned violent with the intervention of the military. Social media and the press have painted a horrifying picture, now seen around the world. Tourism has been devastated by the ongoing political turmoil, and our beloved horses are feeling the profound effects.
Normally, this would be our busiest time of year, yet the beaches stand empty. The tranquillity of Vilankulo feels like a world apart from the chaos in Maputo. The dramatic decline in visitors has pushed us to the brink, and we will soon to struggle in providing the essential care our horses so desperately need. We have created a GoFundMe campaign to help us through this difficult time.
