Support Your Local Witchy and Metaphysical Shops! | Visiting The City Alchemist In Austin, Texas

I’m trying to tweek my deck purchasing practices a bit by checking my local metaphysical shops before clicking the “buy” button on mass retailer shops like Amazon. I think it’s important to support your local economy by supporting your local small business when possible. Also, having to physically go out to hunt for a specific item can lead to more thoughtful purchases and co U.S. piton.
In this video, I visit a “new to me” shop in downtown Austin called The City Alchemist, located at 1105 E. 6th St. Suite No. 2. Come inside with me!

I live 45 mins drive from Glastonbury, so there are a plethora of such stores that I can indulge my witchy soul in. My favourites are: for books - Labyrinth Books or Courtyard Books, for crystals - Elestial or Happy Glastonbury, for Teas, Resins/incense blends - Fairy Aromatics or Star Child, for other things, like witchy clothes - The Magpie's Nest - and 'Wild wood' and the Goddess and the Green Man are always worth a look. I'm very lucky to have such choice near me!

I really like the concept of the oracle of the radiant sun. I love nerding out with a good guide book. The cards seem to have an exceptionally well rounded selection of key words. I’m interested in learning more about astrology and the rich symbolism on the cards. BUT - I don’t like the art work. And I find art work matters so much on cards. The art needs to speak to me on a deeper level, that bypasses my logical thinking brain. And this simply jars as much as the original RWS does. I’ll be very interested to hear how you get on with it. Please do a review once you have spent some time working with it!
