This video is an exceptional view of how life on life's terms can introduce an individual to many different people with or without a disability to realize that anyone you or I work with or come in contact with are capable to choose and live they way they want everyday without feeling judged. I have a disability and have had this since birth. I never knew it was a disability until i went into recovery, I am still recovering today and functioning as well as anyone else. So who says we can't beat the odds when there are no odds to beat. I loved this video.

This video brings awareness about mental illness. It shows that being mentally ill, does not mean losing the capacity to join the workforce. Sometimes, It only takes a little motivation to eliminate the fear, and the low self-esteem that constitute a barrier for certain individuals who suffer from mental illness. As a result, these people would develop self-confidence, and be able to empower themselves by securing a job that they like.

I really appreciate the social security that US has in place for people with mental health conditions. Its considered a disability. Here in Singapore mental illness is not considered as a disability and there is no direct social support in terms of financial for people with mental illness. We go by household income assessment. So as long as they think your parents and family can support you you will not be elligible for financial assistance. Stigma on mental illness is very strong from employers and family nucleus alike here in Singapore.

The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, 2008 applies to individuals with mental health diagnoses, who did lose jobs in the 2008 economic recession in New York State. Often, talented and bright individuals find it difficult to enter a career ladder when only entry level jobs are publicized, and this fact disproportionally affects those who need employment support (e.g., group meeting outside the workplace). Often a more popular approach is called transitional employment or post secondary or supported education leading to a new career track for the individuals.
