My old gym had one and it is absolutely a masterpiece and absolutely brutal. I could casually bent over row 225 back then and just putting one 45lb plate on each side was absolutely heavy.

The supported row machine at my Uni gym must have been low quality because it destroyed my sternum for some reason. No matter what setting I picked there was always some level of chest pain, even with padding.

Greating from Austttrrrraliaaa..:)Great supported row with handles....I love it..I don't have this in my gym but I often do row DB on an incline bench(chest against the bench ) so I change grips from pronation ,neutral grip and even supination or using smith machine /barbell row ..cable rows as well there is no shortage for back exercises......A great combination to make sure my upper back , lats working at their best....Thanks John

Great video. I go to two different LA Fitness's and one has that machine and the other one doesn't. I like the one you have with the adjustable foot and hand grip positions. When I'm at the LA Fitness without that machine I lean over an adjustable bench at a 45 deg angle and do it with dumbbells. Works pretty good too.

The yoyo ninja is killing it today :). Hi John, can you talk about how to do chest press when there is some pain in the shoulder? I am talking about the shoulder pain in the joint i think due to pulling the barbel further back. For three weeks i have been having this issue and trying not to stop training since i knew from some one it could make it even worse. How do professionals deal and press through this kind of pain, it is annoying as hell.
