I don't think cats can be emotional support animals, only dogs are recognized by the ADA.

I don't want to lose my animals. They're my emotional support animals. Two cats one dog. The dog name Dandy I rescued her the day before my father passed in 2010. Same with a cat name Bella. Another cat Penny. All rescues.

Hopefully, you don't bring them into stores. Emotional support animals don't have public access, and I don't think a cat can be an emotional support animal. Only dogs are recognized by the ADA. There are compilations of this on KZbin and it puts real service and emotional support dog handlers at risk.

It's great folks like these that are a much needed oasis for our 4-legged brothers and sisters. They truly are heroes in every sense of the word. And specifically for dogs, Please ADOPT from over-crowded shelters and help to put puppy mills out of business!

I've been trying to get help for the stray cat colony and the strays that I've taken in for a year and a half. It's crazy. Cats are getting mange and respiratory issues on top of all the pregnancies. I took in a stray cat that was pregnant and found great homes for 5 kittens. But I still have 3 kittens, the mom, the dad, and my cat and my dog in my home. I feed anywhere from 10 to 21 cats every night. I boil chicken and put it in the food processor then feed them that chicken and dry cat food every evening. But they need so much more than I can afford to give them. It breaks my heart.

I got my first little dog for myself ... for my 70th birthday, from a shelter. I had 17 wonderful years loving her. I've missed her so much. To cheer me, my caregivers got me a kitty. Sweet, but for the first time in my life I KNEW, for me, dogs are better companions.(OR cats don't like me.) It's okay. I am almost 88, and a kitty from a distance is okay. But a small pup would have been better... Oh well, I am blessed with my daughter, granddaughter, and 3 cats is okay...

A good cat litter is: Litter MAID corn cob clumping litter. It is dust free so cats won't choke on it when scratching litter. We get it 9 pounds for $5.98 at Walmart.

@@coradenomme2256 - I SCATTER BAKING SODA IN THE LITTER BOX BEFORE I PUT THE LITTER IN AND IT WORKS GREAT. I ALSO USE WALMART CAT LITTER. GET THE BAKING SODA IN THE CLEANING ISLE IT IS LESS EXPENSIVE THERE.
