@@GroomHouse I highly suspect the dog to be a Hungarian Puli, a mopdog, it's a very common breed here. You did the right thing to shave it's fur, because it was a really bad shape even for a Puli. Just be aware that this breed's fur cords naturally, and grows much faster than normal. Their dreadlocks are very high maintenance to keep them clean and nice. Otherwise a very healthy breed. I just wanted you to know that for them the dreads are a wanted things, and not the sign of neglect. But this dog's dreads were beyond saving so you did a good job shaving it.

This brought tears to my eyes. The thought of a poor animal being treated this way, and for his newly adopted Dad made me tear up. As I see, it is an original HUNGARIAN Sheepdog, named PULI. Very special and very kind dog, especially to stay outside and keep the sheeps safe.---these used to have such hair, at least you coud see at his head, before shaving - he can better see, if the eyes are behind the hair and is should never be shaved. We made jokes of our PULI at that time,when we were children, because it is not easy to see where is the front side and where is the backside!!!unless he jumps up on you!!! In the front there are just hair and a red tongue. TAKE A LOOK ON THE INTERNETSIDE UNDER HUNGAIAN PULI - you will understand. But the point is, this is not a dog for having it just at home like a pet for playing with. Even these very thick hair - which never should even be brushed, (like other dogs used to be), these thick hair are made fo r that reason that if it is looking for the sheep outside, even a wolf can not bite him, because oft his very thick hair. TakeI only hope, he get a good place and then when the hair will grow agan, the people will know how to threat him!!! Never shave the head and never free his eyes!!!- I guess, someone bought him,as a young little dog, having no idea, how to threat it, so finally they let him alone. What a shame! Such a dog, must be all the time outside, and even under these circumstances it must be kept proper and treated withcare, using also that kinf of fluid against fleas and such.

Having had dogs that I groomed in the past, it’s obvious this baby was accustomed to being taken care of. He was more than ready for this grooming and bath. He’s beautiful. Thanks to everyone who’s giving him a new lease on life.

I was thinking the same thing. He looks to be an expensive breed, and well taken care of before the previous owners fell on hard times. He appears to be old as well. Maybe the previous owner passed and the family left him on the road?

Wonderful, OK!!! But they abandoned him again on the street and still with the injured paw. Just a bath and a hair clipping is no use! He helped the dog, but he remained abandoned on the street. Sad very sad.

I couldn't believe that they groomed them and then took them right back to where he was abandoned and left him. How did he get adopted? I felt so sorry for the dog at the end. Thought it was going to be a happy ending.
