I also LOVE to shuffle! It has become a calming habit for me. Thanks for sharing the pocket vs the original deck. I hope to purchase the pocket soon. The matte finish on the pocket deck is my favorite. It looked so satisfying to shuffle; I can't wait.

When I saw the pocket deck right after it came out I was stocked! I completely agree with you about being worried about the text, but as soon as I open the pocket size I fell in love. It is crazy how much more the detail comes out, the card stock is amazing and there really is something mysterious (almost) about how different the two are. I love how you felt the same way about the smaller deck. I love my pocket size and it’s my go to deck. I bought one for my mom for Christmas and she feels like she finally understands tarot. Fun story, I had brought my original deck into work for my coworker to look at, she liked it but didn’t feel the pull to have it. Then like two weeks later I purchased the pocket deck at work. I told her she had to look at it and instantly was mesmerized by it and ordered one that day. The pocket deck feels like magic, as if the universe is in my hands. Thanks for the review! Thank you so much for this review. I’ve always been intrigued by this deck, but I have always been put off by the different system. The cards are just so beautiful, but although I thought I’d go pocket size, I think the guidebook and titles of the big cards are better for my needs 😊

Image stand out so much more to me. Both are worth every penny. The guidebook from the large deck is essential I think (this deck was worth going a little deeper for me. Thank goodness this is not the case with most decks but this deck held my attention enough to do so).

I bought the pocket edition as my first tarot deck, and I'm in love with it. I'm most likely gonna buy a 'truer' tarot deck since I find these are more abstract, but so far I find these helpful when used in their intended ways🥰❤ great video tho, keep it up

Lisa, Thanks for such a comprehensive review and comparison. I want them both! I have small hands so the large decks are always hard. I can't shuffle any large decks. I love to shuffle too, fyi! :) Card stock is really important to me as well as it affects the life of the deck.

yah some decks that have come out lately are really large and it makes it hard for people. I'm lucky that my hands are bigger so it's easier for me to handle larger decks.

Hello Lisa, I'm waiting to receive this deck (either the standard or pocket edition) to work with. Both look amazing and suit their own purposes. How has the deck been connecting when doing particular readings? Do you find it leans towards certain types of readings, etc? The book in the standard edition is my type of reading when it comes to a deck that goes outside of the traditional ways of the tarot. This is like a tarot/oracle deck all in one! Hi! I still primarily work with this deck via single card pulls up to three card spreads (as I would with an oracle deck). I really enjoy the deep-dive. I haven't used the pocket as a day to day tarot for a full week yet as I'm focusing on Marseille and Pip decks at the moment, but I will certainly post a weekly deck review when I do to let you all know how it worked out as a standard deck for me! :D
