Hot damn. I love that type of thing. I can’t wait to do my next CD finds video. Love to get great stuff for $2 or less. You’re one of the few guys I watch that does as many CD videos as ya do and I always love checking in.

Thank you, as much as I love vinyl I cant listen to them at work. I keep my audio player filled with new to me CD's in FLAC and can get through quite a few in a week.

Every one of those CDs is a flawless work of audio art. My process when I do a CD haul is rip the flawless audio onto hi-res file to go onto my massive hi-res album collection, and then put the actual discs up for sale at my eBay store. With what you paid for, that would've been a huge profit margin for me! Someday I'm going to re-film a room tour video and my hi-res album collection process. - Red

Wow! Great finds. That Chet Atkins Beatles one interests me because I'm basic and like Chet Atkins and the Beatles. I'm curious your take on CD degradation over time. Does that concern you and are there any steps you're taking to prevent that with your CDs? Of the media formats out there, is vinyl considered the most "eternal" because of the physicality of the records or does their proneness to warping temper that. It's probably still the safest as long as it's stored properly to avoid extreme conditions. I've started following some VHS collection groups out of curiosity and was chilled to discover that mold in tapes is a real problem and can destroy play heads as well as the content on the tape. Our little free library has a few old kids movies on VHS and now I'm thinking I need to remove them on the odd chance someone with a VHS player wants to watch Glenn Close's 101 Dalmations and destroys their heirloom JVC deck.

Time will tell, CD's are only a little more than 40 years old at this point. I have found very few that exhibit so called "CD Rot" and none of them were ones I purchased new and owned for their lifetime. So I do not know if they left out in the elements or whatever to cause the rot problems. If the laquer is not fully covering the reflective layer it can oxidize. I think it is much less of an issue than it has been made out to be. Vinyl records, shellac 78's, and various other forms of early plastic have held up well so far. If I am lucky I have another 40 years, I think they will all outlast me as long as they are kept inside out of the elements. Yeah moldy tape is a big problem, a couple years in a garage or shed will do them in. Collectors know about it and avoid moldy tapes unless they are extremely rare and they clean them first.
