Hi. The information about the harmonic sites is from Ernest Ferron's book ' the saxophone is my voice' which is a technician's book on the construction and workings of the saxophone. I believe it is out of print but I was able to read it for free from the Scribd website. Thanks

It is insane that an instrument at this price would be poorly setup from the factory. But I can say that at the sax symposium this year I tested 2 supreme and an sa80 and the sa80 played easier, suggesting that even at this price they need a local tech to finish setup.

@@LTRand - If the tech is going to final adjustments on it as a Selmer dealer, why does it matter if those final adjustments are done in France or at he seller’s shop. There is no difference to the buyer. I bought a supreme from the Sax shop. It arrived in perfect order.

@raymort3 very simple, the customer pays for every hour of labor, effective or not. Since it is setup in the factory and tested there, then it means that something is wrong because the local tech has to spend time to do it again. That is built into the retail price, driving up the cost.

@@LTRand there is no added cost - the price is the same
