Supreme Court hears Trump immunity case

The Supreme Court on Thursday heard three hours of arguments over whether former President Donald Trump should be immune from criminal prosecution for official acts he took while in office. A decision, which is not expected until June, will have ramifications on the federal case that accuses Trump of attempting to overturn the results of the 2020 election. Jan Crawford has details.

immunity such as qualified immunity is a part of the law. You can’t have cops go into violent and life or death situations where they can be prosecuted for acting properly in their official capacity, if a cop is acting improperly in their official capacity they lose qualified immunity. So to your point no man is above the law, but there are extenuating circumstances such as immunity that function within the law where every man resides.

I believe that the Supreme Court Justices should have a term limit. Additionally, I propose that the Supreme Court Justices should be elected by the people, rather than being appointed by the President. This would allow for greater accountability and transparency in the selection process. Furthermore, if there are any Justices who are found to be corrupt, they can be voted out of office. In this way, we can ensure that the Supreme Court remains an impartial and just institution.
