I bet 90% of the sitting judges of DC, HC or even the SC, they themselves don't have 70% in their llb course! Hon'ble Mr. CJI D. Y. Chandrachud says its to bring good people in the judiciary.. Isn't the whole purpose of the various judicial entrance exams just that? If you are not satisfied with the quality of judges.. make the entrance exam more difficult or make changes to the training of selected judges.. By allowing the 70% mark, the SC is ultimately supporting the rattafication!!

There are many third class law clgs/Universities in india which can award you as much as you want with a minimal consideration. You dont even need to attend classes With the decision of 70%, the demand for these universities is fit to increase, people will take admission and leave for delhi in some big judiciary coaching. They'll prepare for judiciary and will have their attendance fixed at home. With this decision only the students of tier 1, 2 colleges are going to get affected. Its extremely tough to score beyond 70 in most of these tier 1-2 universities.

Absolutely!!! It must be asked % of these judges

In Delhi University they hardly give 70% marks to anyone. The majority gets below 50-60% no matter how good an answer they write in 3hrs. These third tier law college students show 80% marks like a joke and it haunts us top tier DU students when it comes to competition minimum requirements.

A great argument must needed
@vanlandings74665 ай бұрын
The argument that 70 percent criteria ensures the quality of candidates makes no sense. Doesn't qualifying 2 exams and a interview itself ensures the quality? How many senior advocates or Judges of high courts have 70 percent marks in their graduation? Graduation marks are so subjective, it makes no sense to equate it with quality of candidates. In college exams mugging ability and filling pages matter more than actual knowledge. If the percentage criteria is that important then atleast develop an objective and scientific framework for evaluation of papers and not leave it to the whims of universities.

This is strange. I am a doctor and in mbbs we in government college never give marks above 70 percent no matter how good the student. If a students gets 70 percent he is gold medalist and private colleges give marks excess of 80 peecent. This can be applied to only those exams in which simular conditions are present for all examinees

Sir kindly make uniform recruitment rules for judicial employments. some states putting 55% 60% marks in LLB. This should be rectified
@haribabue42025 ай бұрын
Percent of marks indicates knowledge of the candidate on the date of examination which may be improved later. You can test knowledge of the candidates before appointing as judges. A second class graduate may succeed in IAS while a topper in graduation may not be able to make it to that.

There will be four stages for the creaking judiciary examination that are as follows 1. Obtaining 70 percent marks (in not similar circumstances) 2. prelims 3. Mains 4. Interview All of you know that - Every person is treated equally in the same circumstances in the eyes of law, this is called equity before law. But there are no similar circumstances in obtaining 70 percent marks at all. So this principle can't be applied here.
