If it weren't for the old Ed Sullivan show, I might have never seen how pretty these great girls were. I bought the 45's and loved them, but when I saw them, as a white boy from South Texas I realized that there was another part of the world that I needed to see and other people I needed to meet. So I set out to do just that. I've met Percy Sledge, Levis Stubbs, Barry White and Florence Ballard amoung others. You can't give this white boy enough Motown or Muscle Shoals music and Memphis and Philly. Please bring it back!!!

Hand's Down the Supremes Best Vocal Performance on any single they made . Listen here to the untampered with vocals of Diana, the purity, the naked honesty, the intensity , the vulnerability, the soulfulness and the sexiness of Diana's vocals. For all the naysayers who ignorantly say she lacks it, listen up! Of course you can't ignore the fine writing & production of HDH and the super - fine background vocals of The Andantes, Motown's best kept secret, Motown's 'Secret Sauce' on most all of Motown's records. And let us not forget the masterful accomplishment(s) & contribution of The Funk Brothers. That Sax Solo gets me every time.

They made an appointments first after seeing her dance before the clip was accually taken. So my mom showed up and the directory gave her instructions and so she began to dance as the music started. And when the clip was made the supremes had to approve first which they did. I dont know if you have seen the videoclip of babylove aswell cause there shes dancing with the blonde Guy in a leather jacket right behind the supremes aswell. Both clips were taken in Scheveningen the haque beach.

I have no clue that this song was from the sixties, and as I open my eyes this morning it just came ringing in my head. Memory lane certainly can take me way back in time.. " baby, baby where did our love go."?

I was in the 3rd grade when this song came out in the spring of '64. I remember this playing on the radio while I was on my way out the door for school. As i walked to school that cold March day I could hear this tune in my head the whole day

Florence Ballards mic is almost twice and far from her mouth than the other too. Been reading up on the supreme's history since watching it on Netflix, and she's know for her buxom voice! It's so sad that the world wasn't ready for a strong, gifted , Black, buxom woman like Florence Ballard. And worse she could not handle all the greatness instead her being stiffled because of how she looked and what her sounded represented. We're ready now girl! I hope you finally get the recognition you deserve!

According to Wikipedia , the Supremes are the most successful American singing group of all time with 12 chart topping hits from 1964 to 1969 . Where Did Our Love Go was their first , and 4 more consecutive #1s on the US charts would follow including Baby Love , Stop! In The Name of Love , Come See About Me and Back In My Arms Again . Interesting that their music was pop/ soul and very danceable. One of the goals of MOTOWN was to make black music more accessible to white audiences and they reached that goal with overwhelming success

This is the first song by the Supremes that my brother would play over and over. I can't believe its been 58 years since that time and only one original Supreme left. I think Motown had more songs and No. 1 hits in the 1960 than any other label at that time. When I think of all the Motown music I have collected over the years playing that music takes me back to that time when I was in the 7th grade. There are so many Motown artists that I like especially the woman and girl groups. It makes me feel sad that most of these very talented people are no longer around but their music still lives on. With Mary passing away last year and Wanda and Ronnie this year, I wish those who are still around good health and happiness.
