in the torp app i forget which page its on but in there someplace theres a slider for changing where abouts in the acceleration range youd like the feild weakening to kick in so early/mid/late its hard to miss this setting cos its not with the other settings for some reason,anyway its set to early by default or at least mine was but the app recomends setting it to late for best efficiency,anyhow my point is i found when i changed this from early to late i got a few mph quicker (not much) but defo faster ,if feild weakening is set to early your not really gonna get the full benifits of it at the top end,anyhow its worth checking the setting and see what the results are if of course its something you over looked .
@clu8019 ай бұрын
Nice, I will have to look for that. It makes no sense why it would default to early. Like you said, field weakening is only useful at the top end. Thanks for the tip man!

curious if the 15kw limit is based on the stock motor? maybe an aftermarket motor lets you go higher kw?
@clu8018 ай бұрын
I am pretty sure they are limiting it because of the motor. The stock motor does not do well beyond 15kw. I wish I had another motor to test that. The closest thing I have is the KO controller with will let me push it up to 24kw ( max current is 400A * 60v = 24kw ) My battery also tops out at 24kw. I have only set it at that once for a short time. Its crazy and the motor instantly gets hot.

that 60v battery is stronger than the 72 one... thats strange.
@clu8018 ай бұрын
I am not sure what you mean by that. You mean this 60v Chi is stronger than a 72v Chi? If so, Chi has different versions of both 72 and 60v batteries.
@kolopier8 ай бұрын
@@clu801 yes, "compact" ones for example, 60v is stronger than 72v.
@clu8018 ай бұрын
@@kolopier Ah, Yes, it is a little strange. Probably something to do with more cells in series vs parallel and vice versa. Either way. I am happy with my battery. 👍

The controller and Battery Links can be found in the description. Any increase in power will surely drain battery faster. But its way more fun!
