I have witnessed the tremendous power of Allah SWT. Last November, when I went over my friend's place I almost got mugged. At first glance I was suspicious about these two guys at the end of the lane and i mumbled verse 9 of surah yasin. So as I parked my motorcycle, they abruptly ambushed and asked for my belongings, I didn't hesitate at all, gave whatever they demanded. BUT I kept reciting Ayat ul Kursi aloud and the miracle happened!! Although I was unarmed but Allah helped me out and they returned me my stuff and fled in fear as if I had held gun on their heads! The best part is my imaan was unshakable Alhamdulilah! I had faith in Allah the Supreme, the All-Seeing, the Protector, the Guardian, the One Who never sleeps and get fatigued in preserving His creation.

I became a Muslim, and it was when I heard the Story of Rasool Allah (SallahuAllahyi wah Asalaam) and how he handled the situation of the old lady who needed help (during the early years of Islam). She told the prophet muhammad (peace be upon him) about a man named Muhammad (peace be upon him), and how he was dividing the people of Mecca with the Religion of Islam, and because of these events she says she has no peace. The prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) continued to help the old lady, and continued to listen to her speech. She said don't listen to that man named "Muhammad" (Peace be upon him) because trouble you will find. he continued to help and listen to her until she finally vented out her frustrations, and she asked the man what his name was, and he told her his name, it was Muhammad (peace be upon him). She became a Muslim shortly after that incident AllahuAkbar!

One fact that blew me away was learning about the fault that was discovered, that goes all the way around the moon, as if it had once been broken in half and put together again. As a Muslim I know this to be true, as the splitting of the moon is one of the miracles documented in the Seerah, but the fact that Allah SWT left a tangible sign for us in this age amazes me to no end.

What's the basis of this story? What historic evidence do we have about this attack on Mecca? What evidence do we have about any claim that the Kaaba has anything to do with Abraham? Thanks. I think there's an utterly more sensible interpretation of this. What's "ababil"?

Mashallah. Very good explanation. I had a question ? After the Prophet Muhammad pbuh the kabah was knocked down by catapulted rocks. And there are other times in history that the kabah was damage. I just would like to know why the kabah was not protected then?

It's the same reason why after the prophet, may peace and blessings be upon him, the protection of the land stewardship of the world is responsibility of mankind. Instead of raising floods and brimstone, he raises people to protect the deen and tawheed.
