This is quite amazing. 15 years ago you could tell that your train was approaching Surat by the progressively increasing amount of smoke in the air, and about half of the Air Deccan daily flights from Mumbai to Surat had to return to Mumbai without landing because the visibility was not good enough to land safely.

how can it smart? in smart city you can walk without going in traffic from any where to any where. there is no noisy traffic. in smart city you don't need to use honk. traffic is well disciplined. auto light signal depend on traffic. in smart city lot of quite place in city, well traffic rules and no one can occupied public space.

I visited many times in surat. It's much congested till chowk bajar.after this is nice. Public transportation is poor but people are very nice like mumbaikar they will lift on their vehicle to stranger as they know you. Like delhi chennai surat also have highest flyover in India and it's also top 5 fastest growing city in India.

Pr cleanliness hai kaha?? Roadsides pr kitne gandegi h .. clean tabhi bolna jab kachra na phehlana koi v jageh ka ek rule ho!! Aur saaf saaf dikh rha hai ki yaha log pan, guthka , pan masala yeh aab khake thukte hai.. asli cleanliness wohi hai jaha pr plastics, paper inn sabke saath saath koi aisi daag bhi na ho like others foreign cities.

Correct and agree, it's not Singapore. You'll not find slums in Singapore. You can't really compare Singapore and India. Singapore being and city state of about 5..4 million (5,400,000) is in a different, higher class....essentially a developed and highly educated state. India with a population of 1.4 billion (1,400,000,000) is still classed as a developing state. Unfortunately Indian leaders since independence were not as visionary as Singaporeans leaders. If they were, India would be like Singapore.
